In November 2014, Bisping and Rockhold met for the first time, with Rockhold winning the fight via second-round submission. They then rematched in June 2016 at UFC 199 and, in one of the greatest upsets in MMA history, Bisping knocked out Rockhold in the first round to take home the UFC middleweight title. Michael Bisping says Jan Blachowicz "set the tone" for how Marvin Vettori can beat Israel Adesanya
Adam D Martin - May 28, 2021
UFC commentator Michael Bisping says that Jan Blachowicz “set the tone” for how Marvin Vettori can beat Israel Adesanya at UFC 263. Back at UFC 259 in March, Blachowicz handed Adesanya his first loss in MMA when he was able to win a unanimous decision to defend the UFC light heavyweight title. Although Blachowicz held his own on the feet, the key to beating Adesanya was to take him down in open space. Other fighters saw that the blueprint to beat Adesanya is there, and according to Bisping, it’s a tactic that other fighters will use against the champion going forward.

Michael Bisping stumps for "tougher penalties" for illegal knees
Adam D Martin - April 9, 2021
Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping believes that there should be tougher penalties to fighters who land illegal knees. Bisping himself was at the center of controversy with an illegal knee when he landed one on veteran Jorge Rivera at UFC 127 in February 2011. Bisping was given a one-point deduction by referee Marc Goddard for his infraction, but he ended up winning the fight in the second round via TKO after Rivera continued despite the illegal knee. Re-watching the fight shows that Rivera was concussed and the doctors should have stopped the fight. But because they didn’t, they allowed an already damaged fighter to go back into the Octagon and take more punishment. Bisping did what he had to do when he finished off the job in the second round with punches, but either way, he knows the situation first hand.

However, Bisping is always trying to challenge himself, and one of his goals is to commentate a PPV event with Rogan.
