UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya says his plan is to clean out the middleweight division then fight UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones in 2021. Speaking to Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com, Adesanya laid out his plans for the next two years of his fighting career. Though Adesanya and Jones have been talking smack to each other all over social media ever since Adesanya defeated Robert Whittaker to win the middleweight strap at UFC 243, Adesanya does not want to deviate from his plan.

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has a few options for his next title defense. A rematch with Thiago Santos is possible. Corey Anderson has asserted himself as a top contender. The winner of the upcoming fight between Jan Blachowicz and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza will be right there… the list goes on. According to UFC President Dana White, however, undefeated contender Dominick Reyes will probably get the call to fight Jones next. Reyes is riding high on a big knockout of former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman, and apparently also generated solid viewership numbers for that fight.

UFC light heavyweight Corey Anderson is demanding a title shot against UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones or to be released from the promotion. Anderson picked up a massive first-round knockout win over Johnny Walker in the final preliminary fight of the night at UFC 244. Often criticized as a ‘boring’ fighter who only wins decisions, Anderson needed to make a statement at UFC 244 and he did just that. His KO over Walker won him a $50,000 bonus for “Performance of the Night.”

Chael Sonnen believes Jon Jones put on an act when he showed support for Nate Diaz. The UFC 244 main event appeared to be in serious jeopardy when Diaz claimed he was off the card. The Stockton native said elevated levels were found in his test results and he was told that it was likely due to contaminated supplements. Diaz wasn’t buying that reason as he doesn’t eat meat and only uses natural food supplements.
