Mark Hunt has hit back at the UFC’s claim that Justin Tafa was the first heavyweight in the promotion’s history to miss weight. Last Saturday night, Justin Tafa knocked Harry Hunsucker out to register his first mixed martial arts win since February 2020. However, while the victory was nice, it was slightly ruined by the fact that Tafa weighed in at 267 and therefore became the first heavyweight to officially miss the mark in UFC history.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez admits there was “friction” with former UFC rival Brock Lesnar during his WWE stint. Velasquez and Lesnar met at UFC 121 in October 2010. In what was an upset at the time, it was Velasquez who knocked out Lesnar in the first round to become the new UFC heavyweight champion. The two would never end up rematching in the Octagon, but after both men retired from MMA and went to WWE, the two rivals met in a professional wrestling match at WWE Crown Jewel in October 2019. Lesnar would win that match.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar dismantled John Cena following the conclusion of WWE SummerSlam in his return to pro wrestling. Lesnar made his return to professional wrestling on Saturday night when he made his comeback at WWE Summerslam. The return was a big surprise for fans, but also a pleasant surprise as Lesnar is one of the biggest superstars in the professional wrestling world, not to mention a former UFC world champion, to boot. On Saturday night at Summerslam, Lesnar returned to the WWE ring and, after the show went off the air, he went on to slam Cena into oblivion in a move that only the fans who were sitting there ringside got to see. WWE champion Bobby Lashley has called out longtime rival Brock Lesnar for both an MMA fight and for a wrestling match in the near future. Lashley recently won the WWE Championship when he defeated The Miz in an episode of Raw, becoming the third African-American wrestler to win WWE’s most prestigious title. Lashley, who is 44 years old, is one of the best wrestlers in the world of WWE right now, but he’s also an accomplished MMA fighter, having racked up a 15-2 overall record in mixed martial arts. Lashley has actually won his last eight fights in a row, including five stoppage wins in Bellator, though he hasn’t stepped into the MMA cage since 2016.

UFC heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem believes his knockout win over Brock Lesnar at UFC 141 was the best Octagon debut ever. It was back in December 2011 when Overeem made his UFC debut against the former champion Lesnar in the main event of UFC 141. Dana White doesn’t believe former UFC heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar will return to the UFC. Recently, it was announced that Lesnar is a free agent from WWE. Immediately many wondered if he would return to the UFC. He was linked to a fight with Jon Jones or perhaps signing with Bellator to take on Fedor Emelianenko. Yet, for the UFC boss, he doesn’t see Lesnar returning for any fight.

Reports surfaced on Monday that Lesnar is currently a free agent after his contract with WWE expired. Rumors have already popped up that Lesnar could make a return to MMA, where he starred as the UFC heavyweight champion from 2008 to 2010. If Lesnar does return to MMA, he could potentially fight again in the UFC or possibly in Bellator, whose president Scott Coker has already admitted he’s interested in bringing Lesnar aboard.

Former UFC competitors Brock Lesnar and Matt Riddle reportedly got into it Sunday night backstage prior to WWE’s Royal Rumble in Houston, Texas. According to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, Lesnar and Riddle passed each other in the hall and a “tense encounter” occurred. A source said that Lesnar saw Riddle and wanted to know the reality of the situation between them.

Cain Velasquez made his WWE debut last night, appearing shortly after Brock Lesnar won the WWE championship. Brock Lesnar demolished Kofi Kingston in just 10 seconds and secured the WWE championship belt. Brock used his trademark F5 finisher to dethrone the now-former champion, Kingston. However, his moment of happiness was short-lived as Cain Velasquez entered, making his WWE debut. He proceeded to hunt down Lesnar and unload some punches before Brock was eventually able to break free and escape. The pair gave each other the death glare as Lesnar edged closer to the ring again. The narrative implied that this was the first time Lesnar had run away and the first time he was scared.
