Earlier this year, Terence Crawford produced an absolute masterclass to defeat Errol Spence Jr. In doing so, he captured the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, and vacant The Ring welterweight titles to go alongside his WBO belt. This made him the first male fighter in history to become an undisputed champion in two weight classes during the four-belt era.

The Brazilian has been out of action since a title defense against Cat Zingano at Bellator 300. That night in October saw Cris Cyborg dominate, and claim a first-round knockout win. Following the victory, the featherweight champion discussed a return to the boxing ring, where she’s been competing since last year.

Former UFC title challenger Nate Diaz would love to welcome Deontay Wilder to the world of MMA. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ has recently revealed his intention to head to the cage in the future. Last scoring a knockout win over Robert Helenius last Fall, Deontay Wilder has been out of action for over a year. However, the former boxing champion has been in talks with Francis Ngannou for a potential bout in the cage.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has hit back at those hating on his upcoming boxing match against Andre August. On December 15 in Orlando, Jake Paul will go head to head with Andre August. It’s certainly a lesser-known name than we’re used to seeing him face, but even with that being the case, it does feel like an interesting step forward for ‘The Problem Child’. August is 10-1 as a pro with his most recent victory coming over Brandon Martin back in the summer.

Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is serious about potentially facing Francis Ngannou in the cage. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ is currently awaiting his next opponent, defeating Robert Helenius last year. Following the win, Deontay Wilder was ordered to face Andy Ruiz Jr. by the WBC. However, talks with ‘Destroyer’ as well as Anthony Joshua fell apart, leaving the former champion without an opponent.

UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley could face Ryan Garcia in the boxing ring, if it makes money. ‘Sugar’ recently booked his 2024 return, and a rematch with Marlon Vera. Sean O’Malley is currently expected to face ‘Chito’ once again at UFC 299 in March, for the first time since 2020. That year, the Ecuadorian scored a first-round stoppage win over the future champion after he suffered an injury.

According to Ariel Helwani, Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou’s boxing match was far more successful than first thought. ‘The Gypsy King’ and ‘The Predator’ faced off in a high-profile boxing match last month in Saudi Arabia. The two headlined an ESPN pay-per-view offering, with Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou in the main event. Despite the boxer heading into the matchup a massive favorite, it didn’t look that way on fight night.

Fury won the bout via split decision, but Ngannou sure doesn’t feel like a loser.

That DAZN headliner was the first of Nate Diaz’s career, as he faced YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. ‘The Problem Child’ was coming off a loss to Tommy Fury in February, and was looking to get back on the right track.

Earlier this year, Showtime announced their decision to drop combat sports from their network. While not a big shock to Bellator MMA, fans of boxing were caught quite off-guard.
