After all, ‘Chaos’ and ‘The Chosen One’ have had a heated rivalry for years now, and thus one could only anticipate that things would boil over during fight week.

UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier is still hopeful the UFC can salvage his fight against Tony Ferguson and book it later this year. Poirier was set to take on Ferguson in the co-main event of UFC 254 in what was essentially a No. 1 contender fight at 155lbs, as well as insurance just in case anything happened to headliners Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje. However, UFC president Dana White announced the fight was off because Poirier “didn’t want” it.

UFC women’s bantamweight standout Jessica Rose-Clark says she only has $17.70 in her bank account following UFC Vegas 11. Rose-Clark had arguably her best performance in the Octagon yet as she dominated Sarah Alpar en route to a late third-round TKO win. However, the fight itself was involved in some controversy as referee Chris Tognoni botched the stoppage. UFC president Dana White later commented on it and said the system needs to be fixed.

The opening betting odds have been released for the proposed welterweight bout between rising star Khamzat Chimaev and veteran Demian Maia. Chimaev knocked out Gerald Meerschaert in just 17 seconds at UFC Vegas 11 to pick up his third UFC win in just 66 days. Chimaev has come out of nowhere to become one of the most hyped-up prospects the UFC has had in years. He appears to be someone who could be a future title challenger at both 170lbs and 185lbs. UFC president Dana White is so high on Chimaev that he’s called him a “special” talent.

UFC welterweight contender Leon Edwards blasted “racist scumbag” Colby Covington following his TKO win over Tyron Woodley at UFC Vegas 11. Covington defeated Woodley via fifth-round stoppage in a lopsided beating in the main event of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 11 event. Following the fight, Edwards took to social media to call Covington out and he blasted his outspoken rival, accusing him of being a “racist scumbag.” Check out what Edwards wrote on his Twitter below as he looks to become the next man to step into the Octagon against Covington.

It’s one of the biggest fights of the year on paper and UFC president Dana White has even said it’s his personal choice for 2020 “Fight of the Year.” Adesanya and Costa do not like each other and this should be the ultimate grudge match between the two men.

UFC welterweight contender Tyron Woodley issued a statement following his fifth-round TKO loss to Colby Covington at UFC Vegas 11. Woodley was dominated by Covington throughout the bout and was on his way to losing a clear unanimous decision. But early in the fifth round Woodley verbally submitted due to an apparent rib injury, handing Covington the TKO win.

UFC welterweight Colby Covington unleashed some controversial comments during a heated exchange with UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. Following Covington’s win over Tyron Woodley at UFC Vegas 11, he received a phone call from United States President Donald Trump congratulating him on his victory. Usman was part of the UFC on ESPN post-fight show and after taking the call from Trump, Covington got into it with his rival, spewing several insults along the way.

UFC president Dana White says he has to have a conversation with welterweight star Donald Cerrone after his fight at UFC Vegas 11. Cerrone toughed it out and fought to a draw against Niko Price in the co-main event of the evening. After getting dominated in the first round, the referee took a point from Price for an eye poke and so the round was scored 9-9. The second round was once again all Price and he won it 10-9, but Cerrone had a strong third round and won it 10-9. With the point deduction, the judges scored the fight as a majority draw.
