Wife of Frankie Edgar reacts after husband suffers KO loss to Marlon Vera at UFC 268

Adam D Martin - November 10, 2021

The wife of former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar reacted following his brutal KO loss to Marlon Vera at UFC 268. Edgar was knocked out in the third round of his bantamweight fight against Vera on Saturday night at UFC 268. For Edgar, this was his second straight loss by knockout following a flying knee KO to Cory Sandhagen earlier this year. Given that he is now 40 years old and appears to be less durable than he once was, there have been suggestions that Edgar could even opt to hang up his gloves and retire following this latest KO loss to Vera. After all, it was a tough loss for Edgar, and a tough one for his family to witness.

Dana White claims a fighter competing on the UFC prelims is banking $750k

Adam D Martin - November 10, 2021

UFC president Dana White claimed in a recent interview that a fighter he has under contract competing on the UFC prelims is banking $750,000. White has been criticized by UFC fighter pay for the past number of years, and one of the biggest arguments against him is that the UFC doesn’t pay its fighters enough percentage of the overall revenue the company brings in. White has defended UFC fighter pay in the past, saying that his promotion pays more to the fighters than any other MMA promotion. Critics of that argument, meanwhile, will point out that professional boxers get paid more than many MMA fighters. But White isn’t necessarily buying that argument is true.

Adam D Martin - November 10, 2021

UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman listed two potential opponents for his next title defense following his recent victory at UFC 268. Usman defeated rival Colby Covington via unanimous decision in a hard-fought fight that headlined this past Saturday’s UFC 268 event. For Usman, it was yet another incredible performance by the champ inside the Octagon. Since joining the UFC in 2015, Usman is a perfect 15-0 and he is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. It is getting to the point where he is either first or second in all major welterweight division records, and at this point the only fighter ahead of him in the division’s history is Georges St-Pierre.
