Strickland (24-3 MMA) was slated to compete against former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold earlier this month at UFC 268. Unfortunately, ‘Rocky’ was forced to pullout of the contest due to injury and Sean was removed from the card.

Harrison is one of the most dominant female MMA fighters on the planet right now, and she recently became a free agent following her latest tournament win in the PFL. For Harrison, she has won two tournaments at women’s 155lbs now in PFL and she has been incredibly dominant throughout the way. It is getting to the point now where she is such a massive betting favorite for her fights that some fans find it is a waste of time for her to be in PFL, rather than in the UFC, where she would have much tougher competition.

Bellator women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg says she is interested in facing Cat Zingano next, saying it would be a “great fight.” Cyborg is coming off of a quick first-round KO win over Sinead Kavanagh at Bellator 271. For Cyborg, she is currently riding a five-fight win streak including a four-fight winning streak since she joined Bellator with four wins coming by way of knockout. Cyborg has looked absolutely phenomenal so far in Bellator and she is excited to get back out there and perform. Following her quick win over Kavanagh, Cyborg is now looking ahead at who she could potentially be facing next, and Zingano seems to be the ideal opponent for her.

UFC women’s flyweight contender Joanne Wood reacted following her first-round submission loss to Taila Santos at UFC Vegas 43. Wood was knocked down twice and then choked out by Santos in the first round of their women’s flyweight bout that took place on the UFC Vegas 43 main card. It was by far the best performance of Santos’ UFC career to date, while for Wood it was the first time that she had been knocked down in a UFC fight en route to another stoppage loss. For Wood, this was her second straight defeat following a split decision loss to Lauren Murphy in her last fight, and overall she has lost three of her last four bouts. Although Wood is still one of the top-ranked flyweights in the UFC, she is on a bit of a decline at the moment. Still, it doesn’t take away anything from what Santos did as she put on a great performance.

UFC welterweight contender Sean Brady issued a statement following his unanimous decision win over Michael Chiesa at UFC Vegas 43. Brady utilized his superior wrestling skills to take Chiesa down and grind him out for a hard-earned decision victory. The fight saw Brady win the first two rounds with his takedowns, top control, and back control before Chiesa stormed back and made a late charge in the third. Although Chiesa was able to win the last round on the judges’ scorecards, it was not enough as Brady was able to clearly win the first two rounds.

UFC women’s bantamweight contender Ketlen Vieira explained why she took a cautious approach against Miesha Tate at UFC Vegas 43. Vieira defeated Tate via unanimous decision in the main event of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 43 card, but the fight was far from exciting for the fans. The fighters stood in the center of the Octagon and traded strikes, but the overall pace of the fight was not the highest. In the end, it was a close fight, but one that Vieira was able to win by unanimous decision. On paper, this is the biggest win of her MMA career and she is close to the top of the division right now and close to getting a title shot against the champion, Amanda Nunes.

UFC Vegas 43 winner Adrian Yanez responded to the callout from divisional rival Sean O’Malley following his big win over Davey Grant. Yanez defeated Grant in the “Fight of the Night” at Saturday’s UFC Vegas 43 card. It was a fantastic fight between two of the best bantamweights in the sport as both Yanez and Grant stood in the pocket and traded for 15 minutes. Yanez ended up edging out the split decision at the end of the fight, and he improved to 4-0 overall now in the UFC. He has three knockout wins and now, a decision win over Grant as he nears the top-15 at 135lbs.

Jake Hager has refuted Jon Jones’ claim that they are set to compete in a grappling match at next month’s ‘Fury Pro Grappling’ event. Earlier this afternoon Jones (26-1 MMA) took to social media where he suggested that he was set to compete in a grappling match opposite the undefeated Bellator heavyweight on December 9th.

Tate was able to get off some decent punches in the fight, but it was the jab and volume of Vieira that ultimately proved to be the difference maker.
