UFC light heavyweight contender Jimmy Crute issued a statement following his brutal KO loss to Jamahal Hill at UFC Vegas 44. Hill needed just 48 seconds to drop Crute and knock him out with follow-up punches on the ground. For Hill, it was a huge bounceback win after getting finished by Paul Craig in devastating fashion in his last outing. For Crute, meanwhile, it was a brutal KO loss, and his second straight defeat via stoppage after losing via TKO to Anthony Smith in his last fight. To make matters worse, Crute appeared to suffer damage around the eye area of his face.

Dede Pederneiras issued a statement after his longtime pupil at Nova Uniao, Jose Aldo, defeated Rob Font in the main event of UFC Vegas 44. Pederneiras has been coaching Aldo for years at Nova Uniao in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the two have gone on several championships runs over the years in both the UFC and the WEC. On Saturday night at UFC Vegas 44, Aldo punched his ticket to a No. 1 contender fight at 135lbs as he smashed Font in a lopsided unanimous decision victory. It was an incredible victory by Aldo, who once again showed that Father Time stops for him. At age 35, Aldo continues to add to his legacy, and with Pederneiras in his corner every time, too.

UFC bantamweight champion Jose Aldo issued a statement following his dominant unanimous decision win over Rob Font at UFC Vegas 44. Aldo earned a unanimous decision victory by landing the bigger shots against Font and also controlling him for longer periods of time on the ground and moving into several dominant positions when he was on the mat. For Aldo, it was his third straight victory at 135lbs following previous victories in the division over Pedro Munhoz and Marlon Vera. At age 35, Aldo is once again looking like a legitimate title contender. Indeed, he believes that he can make one more title run in the UFC bantamweight division despite his advanced age.

UFC women’s strawweight contender Cheyanne Vlismas celebrated in Las Vegas following her “Fight of the Night” victory at UFC Vegas 44. Vlismas lost her UFC debut earlier this year to Montserrat Ruiz, but she has since bounced back in a big way. In her last fight, Vlismas (then known as Cheyanne Buys) knocked out Gloria de Paula with a head kick to win $50,000 for “Performance of the Night.” Against Martin at UFC Vegas 44, Vlismas put on a show for the fans as she put on a striking clinic. In what was mostly a standup fight between the two women, the UFC decided that it was the best fight of the evening and awarded both women $50,000 each for “Fight of the Night.” More importantly, however, Vlismas has now improved to 2-1 overall in the UFC.

Sterling was in attendance on Saturday night at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, to see Aldo defeat Font in the headliner of UFC Vegas 44. For Aldo, it was his third straight win following previous victories over Marlon Vera and Pedro Munhoz. Despite being 35 years old, somehow Aldo appears to actually be getting better in his MMA career, and his run at 135lbs as of late has been impressive. Sterling, especially, can admit he was impressed.

UFC bantamweight contender Jose Aldo called out former champion TJ Dillashaw following his UFC Vegas 44 win over Rob Font. Aldo defeated Font via unanimous decision in what was a great fight that served as the UFC Vegas 44 main event. Although Font outstruck Aldo in terms of significant strikes, Aldo dropped Font twice and he also had more control on the ground. In the end, the judges saw the fight unanimously for Aldo with 50-45, 50-45, and 49-46 scorecards. It was the biggest win of Aldo’s UFC bantamweight career thus far as he improved to 3-2 overall in the weight class. After losing fights to Marlon Moraes and Petr Yan to open up his 135lbs run, Aldo is now on a three-fight win streak over Font, Pedro Munhoz, and Marlon Vera.

Lopez (16-1) took to the squared circle last weekend at Madison Square Garden where he put his undefeated record and four lightweight belts on the line against Kambosos Jr. (20-0).

The highly anticipated bantamweight main event proved to be a thrilling five round war. Rob Font was seemingly able to get off the better volume of punches throughout the fight, but it was the powerful kicks and right hands of ‘The King of Rio’ that proved to be the difference. Jose Aldo was able to drop the American on multiple occasions during the contest, cruising to a unanimous decision win. It was a vintage performance from Aldo and following the fight he called out former bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw.

Till’s hometown of Liverpool, England, has struggled to contain knife crime and on November 25 a 12-year-old by the name of Ava White was stabbed and killed in the city.

Former UFC champion Jon Jones revealed that he previously turned down a $80,000 per month deal with Hennessey’s sister company. Jones (26-1 MMA), has not competed since February of 2020, when he defeated Dominick Reyes by unanimous decision to successfully defend the UFC light heavyweight title. Later that same year, ‘Bones’ announced that he would be vacating his 205lbs title in order to make a run at heavyweight gold.
