In the aftermath of the wild bout, ‘The Highlight’ began gunning for a title shot against the UFC lightweight titleholder Charles Oliveira.

TJ Dillashaw isn’t interested in fighting Jose Aldo. After Aldo defeated Rob Font in the main event fight back in December, he called out Dillashaw for a number one contender bout. On paper, it made sense as Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan are not having their title unification bout until April. However, for Dillashaw, he says he won’t be ready until the summer due to the knee injury he sustained in his win over Cory Sandhagen.

Don Frye, 56, former mixed martial artist, professional wrestler and actor, while in the stands at UFC 270, decided there wasn’t enough action in the cage and created some of his own. Apparently there was a heated argument in the stands and Frye punched an angry fan directly in the face. The incident was recorded on another audience members cell phone.

In speaking in a recent episode of the ‘Weighing In’ podcast, John McCarthy gave his opinion on a Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones potential fight: “Jon would have taken Ciryl down and beat him to death on the ground. Francis can knock him out, he can hit him with a shot. Ciryl can knock him out. Anyone can get knocked out. But, if you are looking at these guys fighting, (if) they fight 10 times, Jon Jones is definitely gonna win 9 out of 10 times.”

Former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw has shared his prediction for the upcoming Petr Yan vs Aljamain Sterling rematch. Yan (16-2 MMA) and Sterling (21-3 MMA) are set to collide for a second time in the co-headliner of UFC 273 on April 9th. The bitter rivals originally met at UFC 259, where ‘FunkMaster’ took home the 135lb title after ‘No Mercy’ was disqualified for landing an illegal knee.

In the lead-up to the scrap, Ngannou and the UFC were not seeing eye-to-eye and following the contest Dana White didn’t even wrap the belt around “The Predator’s” waist.

Over Christmas, Jones and Hooker had a back-and-forth after the “Hangman” took a dig at the former UFC champion for his comments pertaining to Chael Sonnen’s battery citations. Jones then fired back at Hooker and the pair continued to trade barbs. Now, a month later, Hooker opened up on why he dislikes Jones.

Justin Gaethje doesn’t like the idea of “irrelevant” Conor McGregor getting the next lightweight title shot. After Gaethje defeated Michael Chandler at UFC 268, many thought that cemented himself as the next lightweight title challenger. However, after Charles Oliveira submitted Dustin Poirier at UFC 269, he started taking shots at McGregor. Both men began expressing interest in a fight, but for Gaethje, he doesn’t think it is right for the Irishman to get a title fight.

Francis Ngannou is coming off a defense of his UFC heavyweight championship this past weekend at UFC 270. While the champion defeated his former training partner Ciryl Gane to retain his heavyweight gold, the real battle was going on outside the cage. Ngannou has recently been having very public battles with Dana White and the UFC brass since his knockout win over Stipe Miocic in March 2021, which saw him claim the promotions heavyweight title. Ngannou has argued that he’s been paid far below what he is worth, and has openly sought a fight with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in the boxing ring.

The first pay-per-view of 2022 went down on Saturday as the promotion returned to the Honda Center in Anaheim, California for UFC 270. The event saw two titles on the line as Francis Ngannou was defending his heavyweight fight against Ciryl Gane, while Brandon Moreno was defending his flyweight strap against Deiveson Figueiredo.

Frevola had entered the contest on the last fight of his current deal, and was hoping to snap a two-fight losing streak with a win. I went to bed. What do you think about it? I mean, dude, he’s the boss. He’s the man. You’re going to talk sh*t about the whole company, and I get it. I’m just saying. I bet (Francis Ngannou) honestly didn’t even give a f*ck though.”

The UFC is back in London as of March 19th, 2022 at the O2 Arena. The last UFC event at The O2 Arena was a Fight Night event on March 16, 2019, between Jorge Masvidal and Darren Till.
