It certainly doesn’t help his case that he hasn’t fought since then, whereas other lightweights have been a bit more active.

Of course, underestimating someone like DDP has proven to be a pretty big mistake for many in the past, and a lot of people have been pointing to his awkward style as a potential roadblock for ‘Borz’.

McGregor broke his leg in a trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier. He had been scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in 2024, but the “Notorious” one pulled out of the fight due to an injury. The bout was never rebooked, but McGregor continues to tease a return to competition.

The next middleweight title fight will take place at UFC 319 when Dricus du Plessis puts his gold at stake against Khamzat Chimaev on Aug. 16.
