Anthony Pettis is a former UFC champion and has fought the who’s who of the sport but two moments stick out to him over the rest. The big moment for Pettis, of course, is when he won the UFC lightweight title in his hometown of Milwaukee. Although winning the belt is something Pettis will always remember the other moment that sticks out to him is when he knocked out Stephen Thompson in Nashville.

UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier believes Dan Hooker vs. Tony Ferguson is the fight to make. ‘The Hangman’ has been out of the cage since his knockout defeat to Arnold Allen at UFC London in March. The defeat was his fourth, in his last five contests. Following the stoppage, Hooker announced his intentions to move back up to lightweight.
PFL CEO Peter Murray reveals Claressa Shields to return in November

PFL women’s lightweight Claressa Shields will return to the cage before the end of the year. The 27-year-old has been out of the cage since her decision defeat to Abigail Montes last October. The victory set her to 1-1 in the MMA cage, as he had previously signed to the PFL in 2020. She debuted with an impressive knockout defeat of Brittney Elkin in June 2021.

However, ‘Bones’ had been bulking up and now took to Instagram to release a video of him training.

Conor McGregor has taken a shot at his longtime rival, Nate Diaz after booking a role in Road House. On Wednesday, it was revealed McGregor will team up with actor Jake Gyllenhaal in the remake of the 1989 cult classic Road House. The news was surprising as it will be the Irishman’s acting debut which he is excited for.

UFC bantamweight Urijah Faber nearly fought Conor McGregor at UFC 196. At that event in March 2016, it was supposed to ‘The Notorious’ moving up to lightweight. The then UFC featherweight champion was expected to face Rafael dos Anjos, the-then lightweight titleholder. However, weeks before the fight, the Brazilian got injured.

In that trilogy outing, McGregor broke his leg in the final seconds of round one. Due to the injury, he’s been on the sidelines for over a year.

Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr. was trending to be a big box office success. Paul and Rahman Jr. were supposed to headline Madison Square Garden on Saturday. However, just a week before the event, the fight was called off due to weight issues on Rahman Jr.’s side. However many, including Dana White and Eddie Hearn, thought it was canceled due to poor ticket sales.

Anthony Pettis is pretty amazed by what Charles Oliveira has accomplished. Pettis and Oliveira fought in 2016 at featherweight and ‘Showtime’ ended up winning by submission. After the fight, Pettis said Oliveria’s striking was getting better but he didn’t think the Brazilian would turn his career around and eventually become the UFC lightweight champion.

The bout was a short-notice fight for Moicano, as he stepped in on just a few days’ notice. During the loss, the 33-year-old took a lot of damage, as many criticized the bout not being stopped in the championship rounds.

Tom Aspinall had successful surgery for his knee on Wednesday. Aspinall took to social media on Wednesday morning to announce he was set for surgery and revealed the full injury he sustained. Of course, the Brit suffered a knee injury just 15 seconds into his UFC London main event fight against Curtis Blaydes and Aspinall says it ended up being a torn MCL, a torn meniscus and ACL damage.
