It’s safe to say Anthony Joshua will not be making a move into mixed martial arts anytime soon. In recent years, combat sports fans have witnessed some blockbuster crossover fights. Most notably, Conor McGregor when swapping the cage for the ropes to face Floyd Mayweather in 2017. The most recent high-profile boxer to try their hand at MMA as of late was Claressa Shields under the PFL in 2021.

It was on Saturday, December 10th at UFC 282 that Paddy Pimblett (20-3 MMA) met up with Jared Gordon (19-6 MMA) in the lightweight co-main event. It was Paddy ‘The Baddy’ who won the fight via unanimous decision.

Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov sent UFC president Dana White a demanding message following the controversial split draw between his fighter Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Błachowicz at UFC 282. Kadyrov didn’t hold back towards White in a social media post on Sunday. He referred to the decision as “dirty” and blamed “politics” for Ankalaev not being awarded the light heavyweight title.
