The Octagon remained in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 70 event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Brendan Allen vs. Andre Muniz. Tonight’s middleweight main event proved to be a coming out party for Brendan Allen. ‘All In’ was able to get the better of the striking battle with Muniz in rounds one and two and was also able to get the fight to the floor with a timely takedown. Then, in round three, Allen was able to secure another big takedown and promptly went on to secure a rear-naked choke finish.

Suarez (9-0 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since June of 2019, where she defeated Nina Nunes by unanimous decision. That win was preceded by a TKO victory over former UFC champion Carla Esparza.

Krylov (29-9 MMA) will enter tonight’s main event with hopes of extending his current win streak to three in a row. ‘The Miner’ is coming off back-to-back victories over former division title challengers Volkan Oezdemir and Alexander Gustaffson, the latter of which was a TKO finish (see that here).

While it’ll be the first time the two share the ring, it’s not the first time they’ve been scheduled to clash. For their two prior meetings, ‘TNT’ withdrew due to injury and visa issues.

Woodley lost his welterweight title at UFC 235 to Kamaru Usman and after the loss, Usman went on to face Colby Covington. Yet, after Usman lost his title to Leon Edwards, he will now get an immediate rematch on March 18 at UFC 286, in a fight Woodley believes Usman will have success in.

Jasudavicius was set to face Casey this Saturday, but the veteran was forced to withdraw from the contest and was replaced by UFC newcomer Gabriella Fernandes. The news though was disappointing as the Canadian was eager to fight a well-known veteran.

It’s a fight both men have wanted and after it was booked twice previously but both times Fury pulled out but it will finally happen on Sunday.

Jon Jones has a reason as to why the Francis Ngannou fight didn’t happen. Ever since Ngannou became the heavyweight champ and Jones announced he was moving up to heavyweight, the hope was the fight would happen. But, after contract negotiations stalled, Ngannou was released from his deal and instead, Jones will now face Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 for the vacant belt.
