Former UFC fighter Luke Rockhold has praised Israel Adesanya following his knockout victory over Alex Pereira at UFC 287. Earlier this month, Israel Adesanya was finally able to defeat Alex Pereira and regain the UFC middleweight championship. He did so with a vicious KO, sending a message to the rest of the division in the process.

Kelvin Gastelum has called out Dricus du Plessis for a middleweight title eliminator fight this summer at UFC 290. Following a poor 1-5 run, Kelvin Gastelum got back to winning ways earlier this month. He did so by defeating Chris Curtis in an absolute war, although some felt as if Curtis should’ve been the one to get the nod. Either way, Kelvin is back in the win column, and that’s all he could’ve asked for.

After Charles Oliveira vs. Beneil Dariush was postponed, Dana White announced they would be making a new fight to serve as the co-main event of UFC 288. He also revealed the scrap would likely feature Gilbert Burns, and after that, ‘Durinho’ and Belal Muhammad began taking shots at each other on social media.

The win was the contender’s eighth in a row, having previously defeated names such as Tony Ferguson, Drew Dober, and more.

While the main event is still slated for May, last week, the event took a big hit. Charles Oliveira was originally slated to face Beneil Dariush in the co-main event, but ‘Do Bronx’ pulled out due to injury.

UFC bantamweight contender Rob Font wants a former champion upon his return. The bantamweight has been out of the cage since his clash with Adrian Yanez at UFC 287 earlier this month. Heading into the contest, Font was riding a two-fight losing streak, having been defeated by Jose Aldo and Marlon Vera in recent octagon appearances. However, he ended his losing streak with a statement victory earlier this month.
UFC veteran Karl Roberson arrested and charged for allegedly stealing over $200k in jewelry

Karl Roberson, a 10-fight UFC veteran, has been charged in connection to a robbery in New Jersey. According to a press release from the Howell Township Police Department, Roberson was one of two men arrested following an investigation into a residential burglary. The report says Roberson and Dathan Thompson allegedly pried open a rear door and once inside, made their way to the master bedroom where they allegedly located and stole over $200,000 in exotic jewelry and valuables.

Former UFC middleweight champion Pereira (7-2 MMA) announced that he would be moving up to 205 pounds after suffering a loss and in the process losing his belt to Israel Adesanya (23-2 MMA) by knockout at UFC 287, which took place earlier this month.

UFC President Dana White believes if Arnold Allen had stepped on the gas sooner in his UFC Kansas City headliner with Max Holloway, he may have been able to pull off the biggest win of his pro MMA career. Allen was in a big spot sharing the Octagon with “Blessed,” a surefire future UFC Hall of Famer. Allen had success in the fight down the stretch, but it was too little too late, as Holloway was able to do enough to avoid losing two straight bouts. Holloway won the bout via unanimous decision.
