Sergio Pettis has reacted after losing his bantamweight world title to Patchy Mix at last night’s Bellator 301 event. Pettis (23-6 MMA) was looking to defend his Bellator bantamweight championship for a third time when he squared off with Mix (19-1 MMA) Friday night in Chicago, Illinois.

Henry Cejudo was not happy that Daniel Cormier came to the defense of Tom Aspinall following his recent criticism. It was just last Saturday, November 11th, at UFC 295, where Tom Aspinall (14-3 MMA) knocked out Sergei Pavlovich in the very first round to claim the promotion’s interim heavyweight title (see that here).

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 82 event, a 14-bout fight card headlined by Brendan Allen vs. Paul Craig. The highly anticipated middleweight main event proved to be a coming out party for Brendan Allen. ‘All In’ put together the best performance of his career, dominating his Scottish opponent in all areas of the fight before eventually earning a rear-naked choke finish in round three. The win marked Allen’s sixth in a row and has him primed for a big fight in his next Octagon appearance.

In his most previous Octagon appearance this past June, ‘All In’ scored a rear-naked choke finish over Bruno Silva.

Matthews (19-7 MMA) most recently competed at July’s UFC 291 event, where he scored a second-round submission victory over Darrius Flowers. The 29-year-old Aussie has gone 3-2 over his past five fights overall, earning wins over Diego Sanchez and Andre Fialho during that stretch.

Tyson Fury reportedly made far more than Francis Ngannou in their high-profile boxing match last month. Last month in Saudi Arabia, ‘The Gypsy King ‘and ‘The Predator’ faced off. The boxing match was the first in the career of Francis Ngannou, while the bout was the only thing standing between Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk. The heavyweight title unification was tentatively slated for December 23rd.

That was a nice rebound win for Patricky Pitbull, having lost his lightweight gold to Usman Nurmagomedov in his prior outing. With the win at Bellator X RIZIN 2, he advanced to the lightweight Grand Prix semifinals.

Allen enters the fight as a sizeable betting favorite, but in the lead-up, both have been oozing with confidence that they will finish one another. At the faceoff, Craig got right into Allen’s face, so the American told him to keep the same energy on fight night and not just be pulling guard which is a move Craig does often.
