Former UFC lightweight standout Sam Stout has joined fellow fighters Jorge Masvidal, Jon Jones and Gray Maynard in speaking out about fighter pay. The Canadian competed under the UFC banner on 20 different occasions, beginning his promotional run in March of 2006 at UFC 58.

A couple of weeks ago, ‘Bones’ expressed interest in moving up a weight class to take on feared knockout artist Francis Ngannou. Unfortunately for fight fans, negotiations for the fight broke down and shortly after Jones suggested he was considering taking a hiatus from MMA.
Eight people shot in San Antonio by Man claiming to be a UFC Fighter

Eight people were shot late Friday evening in a parking lot in San Antonio by an ‘inebriated’ man claiming to be a UFC Fighter. According to a report for the NYTimes, the shooter was originally turned away by the bar, only to come back and open fire with a rifle.
Derek Brunson takes a shot at "fat boy" Karl Roberson after bad weight miss

UFC middleweight contender Derek Brunson took a shot at “fat boy” Karl Roberson after the rising contender missed weight by 4.5lbs at UFC Las Vegas. Roberson stepped onto the scale at 190.5lbs for his middleweight bout against Marvin Vettori, which is scheduled to be the co-main event under the headliner between women’s flyweights Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo this weekend. Both Eye and Roberson missed weight, making this a rare card where both the main event and co-main event saw a headliner miss their respective weight limit. In Roberson’s case, it was the biggest weight miss on a card full of them.
Petr Yan tells Sean O'Malley "you are working for me now"

UFC bantamweight title contender Petr Yan told rising star Sean O’Malley that he is “working for me now” after O’Malley took a shot at the Russian on social media. O’Malley told Yan on Twitter that he doesn’t spell his name the right way, poking fun at the fact he spells it Petr and not “Peter.” It was O’Malley’s way to keep himself in Yan’s eyesight while the Russian takes on Jose Aldo for the vacant UFC bantamweight title in July at UFC 251. Although O’Malley is No. 15 in the rankings and Yan is No. 3, O’Malley is doing his best to try and get under Yan’s skin and keep his name on Yan’s radar.

O’Malley is one of the hottest fighters at 135lbs right now after picking up a stunning KO over Eddie Wineland at UFC 250. Yan, meanwhile, is one of the top bantamweights in the sport and is set to fight Jose Aldo at UFC 251 for the vacant title. Yet despite O’Malley and Yan being far apart in the rankings, O’Malley didn’t hesitate to take a shot at Yan on social media.

USADA rules two athletes are "not at fault" due to sexually transmitted banned substances

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has given two athletes a pass on the basis that banned substances entered their systems via sexual transmission. Inside the MMA bubble, USADA is known as the official anti-doping partner for the UFC. The organization has made a long list of busts since it joined forces with the mixed martial arts promotion.
