UFC featherweight contender Giga Chikadze wants to fight divisional rival Max Holloway in order to prove who the top striker in the UFC is. Chikadze is one of the hottest fighters in the UFC featherweight division right now after winning his first six fights at 145lbs in the world’s leading MMA promotion. His last performance, a first-round body kick TKO win over Cub Swanson at UFC Vegas 25, was his best showing yet, and following the fight, Chikadze called out a number of the division’s top fighters including Yair Rodriguez, Calvin Kattar, and the man he wants the most, Holloway.

However, despite being retired he has maintained an active social media profile and has called out a number of fighters over the past year or so, most notably Alexander Volkanovski. Considering Cejudo is just 34 years old, most fans and media believe he will fight again. If he does, then you can now add another potential opponent to the mix.

UFC featherweight superstar Max Holloway said that he’ll let the fans decide who he fights next, pointing out “that’s who we fight for.” Holloway is coming off of a record-setting performance over Calvin Kattar back on UFC Fight Island in January. It was one of the most incredible displays of striking we have ever seen inside the Octagon and it puts Holloway’s stock at an all-time high. UFC president Dana White has suggested that Holloway could fight the winner of UFC 260’s Alexander Volkanovski vs. Brian Ortega world title fight, but as of right now Holloway does not have his next fight booked. Although a title shot could be on the horizon, it’s possible that Holloway could shoot for potential money fights instead, coming off of the Kattar win.
