UFC welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev took aim at “fake gangster” Nake Diaz, saying that “I’m here to kill everyone.” Chimaev is one of the hottest fighters on the UFC roster right now. Since making his promotional debut on Fight Island in July 2020, Chimaev has had four fights and has won all four of them by stoppage, absorbing an incredible one significant strikes in four fights. What “Borz” has been doing has been incredible to watch, and there are many fans and media who believe he could be in line to get a title shot at 170lbs in 2022. But before he gets the title shot, the UFC wants him to fight at least once more, preferably against Diaz.

Nate Diaz says he’s been “trying to get somebody for a minute” from the UFC, but felt disrespected when they offered Khamzat Chimaev. Diaz (20-13 MMA), who is currently on the last fight of his contract with the UFC, has been clamoring for a fight for some time now. Despite showing interest in potential showdowns with Vicente Luque and Tony Ferguson, the UFC allegedly approached the ‘Stockton Slugger’ with the idea of fighting Khamzat Chimaev.

UFC welterweight contender Geoff Neal fired back at Derek Brunson after suggesting that welterweights are avoiding Khamzat Chimaev. Neal recently spoke to MMA journalist James Lynch and he was asked about Brunson’s recent comments about Chimaev, where he questioned why the other welterweights aren’t actively calling out the man who is one of the hottest names in the division. As far as Neal goes, Brunson is off base for several reasons. First of all, Neal believes there is more going on behind the scenes than the public knows about. Second, he pointed out that Neil Magny has called out Chimaev. And third, he just wants Brunson to focus on the 185lbs division.

Khamzat Chimaev picked up a win over a top-10 UFC middleweight, but it wasn’t in fighting. On Friday, Chimaev and Jack Hermansson had a freestyle pay-per-view wrestling match. The two know each other due to both being from the Nordic countries of Europe, so the two UFC fighters decided to have a wrestling match. The match took place at 187lbs but in the end, it was Chimaev winning by points.

UFC welterweight contender Gilbert Burns believes he will fight Khamzat Chimaev in 2022, predicting that it will be the “Fight of the Night.” Chimaev is one of the fastest-rising welterweight fighters on the UFC roster, having won all four of his fights by stoppage since entering the UFC last year. After spending a year on the sidelines after getting COVID-19 and subsequent health issues, Chimaev is finally healthy now. Last month, he returned to the Octagon at UFC 267 and put on one heck of a performance against Li Jingliang, as he took him down to the mat and finished him quickly.

Rising UFC welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev is reportedly in discussions to fight top-five ranked Gilbert Burns in his next outing. Frontkick.Online reported on Sunday that the latest their sources have told them is that the UFC is currently in discussions to book Chimaev vs. Burns, characterizing the talks as “not done, but likely to get booked.” According to the report, the UFC is planning on booking this fight in January, rather than the December date that Chimaev originally wanted. Once again, the contracts for this fight are not officially signed yet, but talks are progressing.

Chimaev is one of the UFC’s biggest and brightest young stars heading into 2022. In his last fight at UFC 267, Chimaev smashed Li Jingliang in the first round in what was an absolutely incredible performance. It was a great win for Chimaev, and there are some fans and media who now believe that he could fight for the title with just one more win. He is already 4-0 in the UFC and has looked absolutely amazing, so there is reason to believe that this is a fighter who has all the makings of someone who could be a champ one day.

It was a highly-anticipated fight but on Wednesday, it was revealed “Gamebred” was out of the fight due to an injury, and Chimaev is looking to step in.

Chimaev (10-0 MMA) made his highly anticipated return to the Octagon last month at UFC 267, where he made quick work of ranked welterweight Li Jingliang (see that here). The win marked Chimaev’s fourth under the UFC banner, with his previous victory coming in just 18-seconds over Gerald Meerschaert (see that here).

UFC welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev says he wants to make a December return, and he is taking aim at the UFC welterweight top-10. Chimaev is one of the hottest fighters in the sport right now after winning his first four UFC fights by stoppage, including a vicious submission win over Li Jingliang at UFC 267. It was the type of quality victory that moved Chimaev into the top-15 rankings in the stacked UFC welterweight division, and now he is hoping that he gets a step up in competition for his next fight. That may or may not include a title shot against UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, which is what he wants more than anything, but even if he doesn’t get the title shot against Usman, he figures to get a top-10 opponent.
