Eagle FC has opted against disclosing fighter payouts from their recent event in Miami, Florida. Eagle Fight Club 44 took place at the FLXcast Arena in Miami, Florida on Friday, January 28th. Eagle FC was launched by Khabib Nurmagomedov, (29-0 MMA), who retired from the UFC in 2020 after a successful title defense over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was watching on at Bellator 273 after Islam Mamedov managed to escape a deep guillotine attempt. While his mixed martial arts career alone is enough to cement Khabib’s legacy as a legend of the sport, he doesn’t want to sit back and rest on what has already been and gone. Instead, he’s looking to the future, whether it be through Eagle FC or his blossoming run as a coach.

Nurmagomedov (29-0 MMA) retired from the UFC following his submission victory over Justin Gaethje in October of 2020. Since then, Khabib has turned his focus to promoting Eagle FC, a Russian-based MMA organization which he co-owns.

Javier Mendez, speaking on his YouTube channel has suggested that both Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev would ‘dominate’ Charles Oliveira: “I know they both would beat Charles, in my opinion because look, they’re both my fighters,” Mendez said (h/t MMAJunkie). “Stylistically-wise, Islam could strike, he can kick. Khabib wasn’t a great kicker. Khabib would have to go straight to the grappling with Charles and probably dominate him there. As a matter of fact, I know he would. I know Khabib would dominate him there, and I kind of feel, my personal opinion, as great as Charles is, I think Islam would dominate him there. too.”

Ferguson (25-6 MMA) and Nurmagomedov (29-0 MMA) of course have a long and storied rivalry. The lightweight standouts were slated to meet on five different occasions inside of the Octagon. However, none of those contests ever came to fruition due to a variety of different reasons.
