UFC welterweight fan-favorite Nate Diaz appears to be targeting the winner of UFC 268’s main event between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington. Diaz appears to be very interested in Saturday’s main event between Usman and Covington. Taking to his social media on Friday, Diaz posted a photo of the UFC welterweight champion and his rival during the staredown. On top of the two fighters, Diaz posted a picture of a target along with a dart hitting the bullseye in the center of it.

Colby Covington believes that poor instructions from his former ATT cornermen contributed to his loss to Kamaru Usman at UFC 245. Covington lost via fifth-round TKO to Usman the first time these two welterweight rivals met inside the Octagon at UFC 245. In that fight, the two archrivals went back-and-forth for nearly the full 25 minutes until Usman dropped Covington late in the fifth round and referee Marc Goddard stopped the fight. In the two years since then, Covington has done everything in his power in order to convince the UFC to give him the rematch, and they finally caved in and gave it to him. This Saturday at UFC 268, Covington gets to step into the Octagon for the second time when he takes on Usman for the welterweight title.

Kamaru Usman shoved Colby Covington at the conclusion of the UFC 268 press conference which saw both of them get heated. Usman and Covington have a heated rivalry as the two generally do not like one another. Their first encounter at UFC 245 was heated and the fight exceeded expectations. Now, ahead of UFC 268 in Madison Square Garden the two rivals picked up where they left off and after the press conference, Usman shoved Covington in their faceoff.

UFC welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev responded after receiving multiple insults from his divisional rival Colby Covington. Covington took shots at Chimaev at the UFC 268 pre-fight press conference. In addition to poking fun of his name and calling him “Cumshot” Chimaev, Covington also poked fun at Chimaev for contracting COVID-19 and temporarily retiring from the sport. There are very few fighters who are able to get under the skin of their rivals the way that Covington has, and just a day after making all of these insults, Chimaev shot back at him on social media.
