Nate Diaz has reacted after Jorge Masvidal allegedly sucker-punched Colby Covington at a restaurant in Miami. Late Monday evening it was reported that Masvidal and Covington got into a scuffle at Miami Beach restaurant Papi Steak and police were called. It was then revealed on Tuesday that ‘Gamebred’ went to the restaurant with a surgical mask on and his hood up and sucker-punched Covington twice. Those punches allegedly broke Covington’s tooth and left an abrasion on his wrist.

Covington is coming off a dominant win over Jorge Masvidal and after the event, Sonnen said the fight that made the most sense is ‘Chaos’ vs. Adesanya. He believed it would be a massive pay-per-view success and given ‘The Last Stylebender’ has basically cleared out the middleweight division the timing worked. According to Covington, he says he would be interested in it and believes the scrap makes a ton of sense.

UFC 272‘s main event saw friends-turned-foes collide as ‘Chaos’ took on ‘Gamebred’. In the end, the build to the fight turned out to be much better than the bout itself. Covington dominated the matchup and won the bout via a lopsided unanimous decision. Despite the fight being one-sided, both men have continued their beef online.

Covington is coming off a decision win over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272 and after the event, Chael Sonnen said he thought ‘Chaos’ vs. Adesanya made sense. For Covington, he says he would take that fight as he knows ‘The Last Stylebender’ doesn’t have many options. It’s also a scrap that makes sense given Covington says he’s 2-0 against Adesanya’s friend in Usman.

UFC 272 featured Colby Covington vs Jorge Masvidal in the welterweight main event on March 5th, 2022 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. It was to be Covington (17-3 MMA) defeating Masvidal (35-16 MMA) by unanimous decision with scores of 49-46, 50-44 and 50-45.
