MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has a refresher for Daniel Cormier in the aftermath of UFC Austin. Cormier was on the call along with fellow UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping and play-by-play man Brendan Fitzgerald. It’s not often in MMA that you get to see a fighter land a KO slam, let alone seeing two UFC fighters score finishes in that fashion on the same show, back-to-back. At the time, the two heavyweights stated that a fight between the two was on the books for 2022.

In December 2019, Rampage Jackson traveled to Japan to face Fedor Emelianenko. In the main event of Bellator 237, ‘The Last Emperor’ easily scored a first-round knockout victory.

In the December 2019 bout, Rampage Jackson suffered a first-round knockout loss. That fight was the last on his Bellator contract, and the promotion declined to re-sign him after the defeat.

Jackson was a guest at the Triller Triad Combat event that took place this past Saturday at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Jackson did not fight at the event, but he was seen getting into it with boxer Shannon Briggs, and there is a good chance we see these two meet in the Triad ring sometime in 2022. It appears as though Jackson has taken a liking to what Triller is doing, and he believes the promotion has been things in store for its future. In fact, Jackson lost three of his last four MMA fights, and after getting knocked out by Emelianenko, there was the feeling that would be the last time that we see “Rampage” in the cage. However, according to the man himself, he now has the itch to fight once again after taking two years away from competing in the cage.
