The ‘GWOAT’ has been out of the boxing ring since a unanimous decision win over Maricela Cornejo in June. That victory was yet another dominant title defense for Claressa Shields, and it seems that will be her last boxing appearance for a while. Not long following the win, she re-signed with the PFL.

While August wasn’t supposed to present a massive challenge, it did tick off the box of defeating a “real boxer”.

Jake Paul will be helping the American boxers prepare for the Paris Olympics in 2024. With the Paris Olympics set for August of 2024, it was announced on Tuesday that Paul has teamed up with USA Boxing to help train with the Olympic-bound athletes. Paul will also go to Paris with the boxers as he looks to put the spotlight on the amateur boxers.

Amanda Serrano has vacated her WBC featherweight title in protest over the women’s boxing ruleset. Currently, women’s fights are 10, 2-minute rounds compared to the men’s having 12, 3-minute rounds. Serrano has voiced her displeasure in the past about it and in her last fight, she fought 12 three-minute rounds but her WBC belt was not on the line as the body wouldn’t sanction the fight due to the extra rounds and time.
