Jorge Masvidal was not surprised to see Jake Paul KO Ben Askren in their recent boxing match. In the lead-up to the highly-anticipated fight, Jorge and Jake were training together. Paul even called “Gamebred” at the press conference to try and troll Askren. It was interesting to see Masvidal backing Paul given the fact the majority of the MMA community were behind Askren.

UFC bantamweight Cody Garbrandt unloaded on Jake Paul for his callout of Daniel Cormier and he spawned a beef with pro boxer J’Leon Love. Paul knocked out Ben Askren at this past Saturday night’s Triller Fight Club event, and ever since then, he has been taking to social media to talk trash about a number of MMA fighters, including Cormier. As well, there was an incident backstage between Team Paul and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, where J’Leon Love — a pro boxer who is part of Paul’s squad — was seen talking some smack to “The Chosen One.”

Jake Paul is no longer interested in having a pay-per-view wrestling match with his recent boxing opponent Ben Askren. Askren (19-2 MMA), a former MMA champion, made his boxing debut against Paul this past Saturday night in Atlanta. The fight itself did not last long, as the YouTuber turned boxer dropped ‘Funky’ with a big right hand early in round one. When Askren got to his feet he was still noticeably wobbled so the referee waved off the fight.

Jake Paul has called out Daniel Cormier as he wants to beat him up just like his fellow Clevelander, Stipe Miocic did. In the lead-up to Paul’s boxing match against Ben Askren, Cormier was vocal about the fight. He had said after “Funky” pushed him at the press conference, Askren was going to win the fight, which is far from what happened.

Paul knocked out Ben Askren in the main event of the Triller Fight Club boxing card this past Saturday in Atlanta, Georgia. Paul picked up the first-round TKO win and he improved to a perfect 3-0 in his professional boxing career with the victory. Entering the highly-anticipated fight, many were interested to see how Paul would fare against a legit combat sports athlete. Just like his other two fights, the YouTuber made quick work of his opponent as he scored a first-round TKO win.

UFC welterweight Tyron Woodley exchanged words with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and his team moments before the Ben Askren fight. Woodley was in the corner of Ben Askren, his longtime friend, and training partner before Paul fought him in Atlanta on Saturday night. Of course, the fight did not last very long as Paul managed to land a clean right hand that dropped Askren in the first round, leading to the ref stopping the fight. It was another easy win for Paul and now there are a number of fighters who are trying to step into the boxing ring with him his next time out, including Woodley himself. There have been several suggestions that “The Chosen One” could fight Paul next, especially if the UFC fully releases him from his contract as is expected.

Paul and Askren met in the main event of the Triller Fight Club PPV on Saturday night in what was one of the most highly-anticipated fights of the year in all of the combat sports. Even if you aren’t a fan of Paul or Askren, you were probably watching the fight just to see someone get knocked out. It seemed like there was a massive interest in the fight leading up to it and now we know that it did really well at the box office, according to Paul.

Even though Paul doesn’t get a ton of respect from the combat sports community, everyone knows that he is a huge name and a big draw. At this point, Paul is one of the biggest stars in combat sports just three fights into his boxing career. If you are lucky enough to get booked to fight against Paul, then you stand to make a lot of money.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul claims that he would finish UFC welterweight Nate Diaz in three rounds if they ever meet in the boxing ring. Paul fought Ben Askren in the main event of the Triller Fight Club boxing match on Saturday night. It turned out to be an easy night at the office for Paul, as he finished Askren in the first minute of the fight with a knockout. For Paul, it was the type of big-name win that will surely lead to him coaxing other MMA fighters and boxers into accepting a fight against him. Considering how much money Askren made to take a punch in the fight, it would stand to figure that there are many other fighters who are interested in fighting Paul next. But if it was up to Paul, one of the names he would want is Diaz.

Amy Askren reacted after her husband Ben Askren was knocked out by Jake Paul in his professional boxing debut on Saturday night. Askren was floored by a massive right hand from Paul which dropped him to the mat and left him on wobbly legs. The referee felt that Askren was finished and stopped the fight just over a minute into the first round, handing Paul his quickest victory to date. For Askren, it was a poor performance as he suffered a quick KO loss to a YouTuber. But at the end of the day, Askren made a lot of money (a reported $500,000) for this fight and he still gets to go home with his wife Amy and the rest of their family. So even though it seemed like Askren was the biggest loser on Saturday night, it could be argued he was a big winner.

UFC middleweight Robert Whittaker shared his take on Jake Paul knocking out Ben Askren, saying that “I guess nobody saw that coming.” It just so happened that Whittaker’s fight against Kelvin Gastelum in the main event of UFC Vegas 24 came at the same time as Paul made the walk to fight Askren. Fortunately for fight fans, the Paul vs. Askren fight didn’t last very long, so they were able to watch Whittaker put on a masterclass against Gastelum right afterward. Of course, since both main events were happening at the same time, Whittaker was asked by the media about the fight. Although Whittaker couldn’t watch it live, he heard Paul knocked out Askren, and “Bobby Knuckles” even suggested that he could be the next man to fight Paul.

After giving Askren time to compose himself, the referee waved the fight off as Askren’s legs were wobbly under him, handing Paul the first-round TKO victory. Following the fight, Paul opened up about the stoppage in the match. He believes that the referee saved Askren the embarrassment of being knocked out in an even more devastating fashion because he stopped the fight.
