Julianna Pena has apologized for her previous comments about COVID-19 on the Joe Rogan Experience. Last month, the UFC bantamweight champion went on the show to discuss her victory over Amanda Nunes. During the podcast, the topic of COVID-19 came up, and Pena said that she believed that the virus is a “money grab“.

Marvin Vettori has blasted Israel Adesanya over his recent comments about his fight against Jan Blachowicz. Vettori has never seen eye-to-eye with Adesanya ever since they first fought in 2018 where “The Last Stylebender” won by split decision. The Italian was irate as he thought he won the fight and he thought the same after he dropped a second decision to Izzy at UFC 263. That has only added to their rivalry and recently, Adesanya said he was never hurt in the fight against Blachowicz and felt bored in that scrap as well as the Vettori rematch.

Chris Weidman has confirmed that he’s looking for a return to the Octagon. It’s also coming a lot sooner than a lot of fans might’ve anticipated. Weidman is coming off a brutal leg injury sustained last year at UFC 261 in April. Facing off against Uriah Hall in a highly-anticipated rematch, they were only seconds into the fight when it ended. The former UFC middleweight champion shattered his leg after Hall checked his kick, ending the bout.

Tai Tuivasa has decided to shoot his shot. ‘Bam Bam’ has stated that he’s down to fight former UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, after UFC 271. The former 205lb titleholder is expected to move up in weight and fight later this year. Tuivasa is currently scheduled to fight Derrick Lewis this Saturday. A win would put the Australian near the front of the line in terms of getting a title shot. However, it appears that Tuivasa seemingly has other plans rather than fighting for the title.

Julian Erosa made a lot more money than he expected on Saturday. Erosa opened up the UFC Vegas 47 main card against Steven Peterson in a highly anticipated bout. The fight exceeded expectations as the combatants went to war for the full fifteen minutes. In the end, it was Erosa who won the contest by split decision. Although the plan was for Erosa to be more technical, he is happy that the fight was entertaining.
