California sets new rule for traveling combat sports judges after recent Doug Crosby controversy

California has set new rules in place for combat sports judges who travel after the recent issues with Doug Crosby. In the last week or so, judge Doug Crosby has come under a great deal of scrutiny. It first started when he scored the Danny Sabatello vs Raufeon Stots fight 50-45 in favour of Sabatello, whereas the other two judges had Stots winning 48-47. Then, 24 hours later, he flew across the country and served as one of the judges for Paddy Pimblett vs Jared Gordon.

According to Shields, Jackson has called him a Nazi on social media which the former UFC title challenger was not happy with. The two have gone back and forth on social media and on Friday, they finally saw each other. Once they did, Shields took Jackson to the ground and was holding him there, and tried to land some ground and pound. Jackson – who has also fought in the UFC – is heard asking people to get Shields off of him, before Jake was eventually removed.

Darren Elkins suffered some serious injuries in his decision loss to Jonathan Pearce earlier this month at UFC Orlando. Elkins was looking to earn his second win in a row he took on Pearce, as ‘The Damage’ had returned to the win column with a decision win over Tristan Connelly earlier this year. Yet, in this fight, Pearce beat Elkins from start to finish and said he wasn’t shocked by how tough Elkins was after the bout was over.

Deron Winn announces that he's out of UFC Vegas 66 due to falling down the stairs at UFC Performance Institute

UFC middleweight Deron Winn is officially out of his return at UFC Vegas 66 this Saturday. The American Kickboxing Academy product has been out of action since a knockout loss to Phil Hawes in June. The loss was a devastating one for Winn, as it set him back 1-3 in his last four outings. He had previously lost to names such as Gerald Meerschaert and Darren Stewart.
