Hardy, who spent many years competing in the UFC welterweight division, had words with Dean during a July 25 UFC card on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi. The incident occured during a fight between Francisco Trinaldo and Jai Herbert, when many onlookers—Hardy included—felt Dean stopped the action too late, subjecting the vanquished Herbert to unnecessary punishment.

Adesanya returned to action at UFC 253 last Saturday, defeating Paulo Costa via dominant second-round TKO. While the victory was very impressive, many fans began to speculate about the reason for his visibly swollen right pectoral muscle, with some even suggesting it could be a cause of performance-enhancing drug abuse.

Former UFC champion Eddie Alvarez doesn’t believe Justin Gaethje has the style necessary to beat Khabib Nurmagomedov. Alvarez, who is now with ONE Championship, faced off against Gaethje back in December 2017 and secured a knockout win against “The Highlight”. Gaethje has gone on to string four impressive KO and TKO wins together after another defeat against Dustin Poirier, with his victory over Tony Ferguson in May handing him the UFC Interim Lightweight Championship.

Jourdain made the trip over to Busan, South Korea back in December 2019 where he was able to beat Doo Ho Choi in what proved to be the Fight of the Night. UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski called a trilogy fight with Max Holloway “ridiculous” and suggested That ‘Blessed’ fight Calvin Kattar. Volkanovski and Holloway first met at UFC 245 last December. Volkanovski pulled off the upset that night, outstriking Holloway and winning a unanimous decision. However, the UFC granted Holloway, the long-time featherweight champ, an immediate rematch. The two then met a second time at UFC 251 on Fight Island earlier this summer. In one of the most controversial decisions of the year, Volkanovski edged out a split decision win.

Jones recently unloaded on Adesanya in an Instagram post, and on Wednesday, he continued to pile on to Adesanya.

Blachowicz won the vacant 205lbs title when he knocked out rival Dominick Reyes in the co-main event of this past weekend’s UFC 253 card. In the main event, Adesanya defended his middleweight crown with a second-round TKO win over Paulo Costa. With both fighters competing on the same night and with both having terrific performances, the question that naturally is on a lot of people’s minds is whether Blachowicz could one day fight Adesanya.
Daughter of Frank Mir signs with First Round Management, set for pro MMA debut at age 17

Bella Mir, the daughter of former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir, has signed with First Round Management and is set to make her MMA debut. Just 17 years old, Bella Mir has officially signed her deal with FRM, according to her father’s manager Malki Kawa. The signing was made official in an Instagram post, with a note that the younger Mir will be making her professional mixed martial arts debut in October.

Former UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit says he is open to a rematch with former rival Nick Diaz to “settle the score.” Condit returns to the Octagon this Saturday at UFC on ESPN 16 when he takes on former TUF winner Court McGee. “The Natural Born Killer” has scuffled over the last few years, as he’s gone 0-5 in his last five fights. Then again, Diaz hasn’t fought at all in five years and his last win came way back in 2011 against BJ Penn. So on paper, this would be a fight between two legends of the welterweight division who are nearing the end of their careers.

The full betting odds have been released for the 11 fights scheduled to take place Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 16: Holm vs. Aldana event. In the main event, two of the top-10 women’s bantamweights in the UFC meet when Holly Holm takes on Irene Aldana. A former UFC champion, Holm has struggled the last few years to get on a winning streak. In her last fight, Holm defeated Raquel Pennington by unanimous decision to get back in the win column. As for Aldana, she has won five of her last six fights overall including a brutal KO over Ketlen Vieira in her last outing at UFC 245.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan believes YouTube star Logan Paul would beat boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an MMA fight. Paul has recently been linked to an exhibition boxing match with Mayweather, who is one of the greatest boxers of all time. While this boxing exhibition is not expected to be competitive whatsoever, Rogan believes Paul would have the upper hand against Mayweather if they met under the mixed martial arts ruleset.
