He defeated Gastelum via split decision in his first middleweight bout under the UFC banner.

Hardy has been a lightning rod of criticism ever since he signed with the UFC following his win on Dana White’s Contender Series last year. Hardy’s past domestic violence incidents during his NFL days have continued to haunt him into his MMA career, which has been extremely controversial so far. He lost his UFC debut to Allen Crowder via DQ and then had a No Contest with Ben Sosoli after illegally using an inhaler during the fight.

UFC heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou said that boxing legend Mike Tyson has agreed to train him for a superfight boxing match against Tyson Fury. Ngannou took to his social media today to say that he has talked to “Iron Mike” and that Tyson has agreed to prepare him for a boxing bout against Fury. If we are to believe “The Predator,” he will at some point step into the boxing ring and challenge Fury, widely considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time.

The UFC’s return to Moscow will be headlined by a heavyweight fight between Alexander Volkov and short-notice replacement opponent Greg Hardy. Hardy last fought fought in mid-October, when he took on Ben Sosoli. While this fight was initially ruled a unanimous decision win for Hardy, it was promptly overturned when it came to light that he’d used an inhaler between rounds.
