It was an epic war as both men dropped each other at numerous points during the fight, but at the end of the match, it was Fury who was the better man. Marina Rodriguez says Joanna Jedrzejczyk should be removed from the UFC rankings

Adam D Martin - October 10, 2021

UFC women’s strawweight contender Marina Rodriguez says that former champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk should be removed from the UFC rankings. Rodriguez defeated Mackenzie Dern via unanimous decision in the main event of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 39 event. It was a tremendous performance by Rodriguez, who outstruck Dern for the majority of the rounds and who defended Dern’s submission attempts when the fight hit the ground. The victory will elevate Rodriguez into the top five of the women’s strawweight division, and at this point, she is probably one win away from a title shot.

Adam D Martin - October 10, 2021

Former UFC fighter Melvin Guillard was brutally knocked out with one punch by veteran Joe Riggs in a BKFC match that took place this weekend. Guillard and Riggs were former UFC stars, but in the latter stages of their fighting careers, both men are now signed to BKFC. For Guillard, he is now 38 years old and was winless in his last 13 combat sports bouts. While Guillard was once one of the top lightweight fighters in MMA, that was over a decade ago. Now 20 years into his fighting career, Guillard is no longer the same explosive KO artist he once was. In fact, he is now the one who is getting knocked out. And on Saturday, he was brutally knocked out yet again, this time by Riggs.

Sean O’Malley believes Dan Hooker deserves more recognition and popularity: “He should be more of a star”

Adam D Martin - October 10, 2021

UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley believes that Dan Hooker deserves more recognition and popularity, saying “he should be more of a star.” Hooker recently fought and defeat Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 266 under less-than-ideal circumstances. The UFC lightweight contender got his visa on incredibly short notice, but despite the circumstances, he went out there and put on an incredible performance. A few days after that, Hooker decided to step up and take the fight that no one else wants. He will now fight Islam Makhachev at UFC 267 later this month. The fact that he is stepping up on short notice to fight someone like Makhachev shows how much of a stud that he is, and his fellow UFC fighters, such as O’Malley, have nothing but respect for what Hooker’s doing.

It was an incredible war between two of the best heavyweight boxers we have ever seen, but at the end of the fight, it was Fury getting his hand raised yet again. Fury is now 2-0-1 overall in the trilogy against Wilder and he’s proven that he is the better man. But regardless of Fury being the better boxer, Wilder certainly proved his toughness in the trilogy fight. It was an amazing fight and after, Rogan had nothing but good things to say.
