Bantamweight fighter Tony Kelley explained his decision to drive from Louisiana to Las Vegas for UFC 269 instead of flying. Kelley (7-2 MMA) is set to square off with Randy Costa (6-2 MMA) on the early prelims of Saturday’s fight card at T-Mobile Arena.

UFC middleweight Sean Strickland has responded after after being dubbed a “psychopath” by bantamweight Sean O’Malley. Strickland (24-3 MMA) was slated to compete against former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold last month at UFC 268. Unfortunately for fight fans, ‘Rocky’ was forced to pullout of the contest due to injury and Sean was removed from the card.

Mehdi Dakaev (13-2 MMA) scored an unbelievable knockout victory over Makkasharip Zaynukov (11-3 MMA) at today’s Eagle FC 43 event. EFC 43 took place in Moscow, Russia earlier today and the lightweight bout between Dakaev vs. Zaynukov served as the event headliner.

According to Curtis, that fight was against Andre Muniz at UFC 269, but it never came to fruition, but days later he got the fight offer to face Allen.

Mike Perry didn’t take kindly to Julian Lane throwing something at him while he was in the commentary booth at BKFC Tampa on Thursday. Perry, a recent BKFC signing, was talking about the fights when a fellow fighter in Lane threw something at him. Perry proceeded to take off his headset and go into the crowd to start a brawl with Lane. The video was captured by fans and Lane ended up putting it on his Instagram along with a callout of Perry.

Sean O’Malley and Cody Garbrandt took shots at one another at the UFC 269 press conference. O’Malley is set to open the card against Raulian Paiva while the fight right after is Garbrandt’s flyweight debut against Kai Kara-France. Although they aren’t fighting each other, they have a history with one another and to no surprise, they took shots at one another.

Sean O’Malley has made it clear he wants to fight Petr Yan even if there isn’t a belt on the line. After Aljamain Sterling wasn’t medically cleared to fight Yan at UFC 267, O’Malley called out the Russian to step up on short notice. The fight ultimately went to Cory Sandhagen but for O’Malley, it’s still a scrap he wants. He knows it would be a fun fight for the fans and the way their styles collide makes it that more intriguing for him.
