The middleweight division is as exciting as it has been in a long time and two of the many reasons for that are Darren Till and Sean Strickland. Both men have had their fair share of ups and downs but along the way, they’ve created some fascinating personas for themselves on social media. Till is recognized for being a bit of a comedian whereas Strickland, to put it lightly, says things that can often be construed as controversial.

Last month at a BKFC event in Tampa, Mike Perry and Julian Lane got into a scuffle whilst Perry was attempting to conduct his commentary duties. The pair had to be separated in the crowd, leaving many to wonder whether or not a bare-knuckle showdown between the two would be the right way to resolve their issues.

Nate Diaz has provided a gloomy update after Dustin Poirier suggested their proposed UFC fight was nearly finalized. Poirier (28-7 MMA) joined Teddy Atlas on ‘The Fight WTA’ this morning where he disclosed the following information regarding a future showdown with Diaz (20-13 MMA).

Paulo Costa will remain at middleweight, his manager Wallid Ismail revealed. Costa headlined a UFC Fight Night card back in October against fellow middleweight contender Marvin Vettori. The contest was originally slated for 185lbs, but on the week of the fight it was revealed ‘The Eraser’ could not make weight and the fight was then moved to 195lbs.

Jason Derulo doesn’t like when people think he is someone else. According to TMZ, through law enforcement sources, cops were called to the ARIA hotel during the early hours of Tuesday morning after Derulo threw fists with two men. According to the report one of the individuals was attempting to troll the singer by calling him Usher which caused ‘JD’ to snap.

Rose Namajunas on an episode of UFC’s ‘Run it Back’ YouTube series commented on how she benefited from her loss to Carla Esparza way back in 2014: “Man I just had to stop being an a**hole. [laughs] No I mean, not that, but just like be, have self-awareness you know what I mean like, I was just kinda floating through life and just no direction with anything. I needed a piece of the humble pie, ya know.”

Dustin Poirier revealed on Twitter just this morning that a short-notice UFC fight with Nate Diaz is nearly finalized: “I’m not holding my tongue, it is Nate Diaz. I’m not going to say what card, I’m not going to say a date,” Poirier told Teddy Atlas.“He said something like, ‘Let’s do it.’ I said yes, now I’m just waiting on him.”

Dustin Poirier has confirmed that he will be honoring his pledge of donating $20,000 to a charity of Charles Oliveira’s choice. Back at UFC 269, Charles Oliveira submitted Dustin Poirier to successfully retain his UFC lightweight championship. The back and forth first round was followed by an emphatic second round performance from “Do Bronx”, leaving Poirier to wonder what’s next for him in the UFC.

Winning both to extend her winning streak to 28, the 42-1-1 Puerto Rico native is only looking up – even if that means a huge return to MMA.

Two new UFC matchups were announced today including a light heavyweight bout between Johnny Walker and Jamahal Hill. The Walker vs. Hill matchup will take place at a UFC Fight Night event on February 19th according to MMAFighting.

Din Thomas, Tyron Woodley’s coach is praising him for being a good sport after losing to Jake Paul on December 18th in Tampa, Florida. ‘The Chosen One’ was knocked out cold in the sixth round, with Jake Paul extending his winning record to a perfect 5-0. It was Woodley’s second encounter with Jake Paul, the first ending in a split decision to ‘The Problem Child’ in August 2021. It’s also worth noting that this marked Woodley’s sixth straight loss in combat sports.
