Clay Guida is fighting out his contract on Saturday night at UFC Vegas 52. Guida is set to face Claudio Puelles in the co-main event in a very intriguing lightweight scrap. Puelles is on a four-fight win streak and is looking to build his name off of Guida’s which the legend says won’t happen.

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is seemingly done playing with Jake Paul. Over the last week, the two combat sports stars have been going back and forth on Twitter. After ‘The Problem Child’ said that he was looking to fight Bisping in the future, The Brit began going at him on Twitter. Thus sparking the feud between the two.

Sean Strickland has given his thoughts on male coaches dating female fighters that they train. ‘Tarzan’ has made it known on social media that he has a lot of opinions. Some of which, have landed him in hot water. His comments on certain subjects have gotten him involved with Khalil Roundtree, Colby Covington, and Jan Blachowicz, all of whom have received insults from Strickland.

Bellator women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg didn’t believe she was ever going to fight Kayla Harrison. The two women’s champions were in discussions for a fight earlier this year. Following Harrison’s contract expiring with PFL, there was widespread talk that she was going to sign with either Bellator or the UFC. As a result, she was quickly linked to a bout with Cyborg. Harrison even challenged the Bellator featherweight champion to a gym fight on social media at one point.
Jake Paul opens as sizeable favorite over Michael Bisping in potential boxing match

Jake Paul has opened as the betting favorite to beat Michael Bisping in a potential boxing match. Recently, Paul and Bisping have taken shots at one another as the brash YouTuber-turned-boxer called him out. The former UFC champion and Hall of Famer expressed some interest but the only hesitation is him getting licensed due to his eye.

Claudio Puelles was surprised when he got the call to fight Clay Guida. Puelles is on a four-fight win streak and is 4-1 in the UFC and after his last win, which came by stoppage, he wasn’t sure what would be next for him. He thought he might get a top-15 opponent, but what he thought was more likely was for him to face another prospect where the winner would then get a top-15 opponent.

It seems everyone is weighing in on who Conor McGregor’s next opponent should be, the latest being UFC commentator Joe Rogan. McGregor (22-6 MMA) hasn’t fought since July of 2021 where he went down to defeat in a lightweight battle with Dustin Poirier (28-7 MMA) at UFC 264. It was during that fight that McGregor broke his leg and he’s been rehabilitating every since. Now back to training, the Irish fighter is hoping to return to the cage by the summer of this year.

The Swede is just coming off a unanimous decision win at UFC 273 where he defeated Gilbert Burns (20-5 MMA) in the welterweight bout. The duo won ‘Fight of the Night’ honors and saw Chimaev break into the top five of the 170lb rankings.

While he may have always been an intriguing fighter to watch during his time with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, we never saw Carlos Junior reach the heights that many thought he was capable of. After falling to three straight defeats, the Brazilian made his way over to PFL and entered their light heavyweight tournament.

Very few fighters are able to make as big of an impression after two fights as Paddy Pimblett has. In many ways, despite securing a knockout and a submission in those contests, his actual performances don’t have a lot to do with the success he’s been having.

In the main of 2022 PFL 1, Jeremy Stephens is set to make his promotional debut against Clay Collard. Jeremy Stephens (28-19) is on a six-fight winless streak and coming off a 65-second submission loss to Mateusz Gamrot. That setback marked the last fight on his UFC deal and he then signed with PFL. On the losing skid, he suffered a TKO loss to Calvin Kattar, a decision loss to Yair Rodriguez, which took place after a No Contest due to an accidental eye poke. As well, he suffered a decision loss to Zabit Magomedsharipov and a TKO loss to Jose Aldo. His last win came in February 2018 when he knocked out Josh Emmett.

Paulo Costa is looking to run things back with Marvin Vettori. Costa and Vettori headlined a Fight Night card back in October in a light heavyweight bout, this after the Brazilian showed up on fight week heavy. Ultimately, it didn’t help him, as it was Vettori winning by decision. Since then, Costa has been vocal in wanting to rematch him.

UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo doesn’t want to see an interim title being made anytime soon. The Brazilian was last seen at UFC 270 in January for his trilogy bout with Brandon Moreno. Figueiredo re-captured the flyweight crown via unanimous decision, and a fourth fight seemed to be on the way. However, the new champion began gunning to fight anyone but Moreno.

Former UFC strawweight champion Jessica Andrade is back at 115 pounds this weekend. The move comes after a brief run at flyweight, where she had three fights. The Brazilian is set to face Amanda Lemos in the main event of UFC Vegas 52 this weekend. It will be her first fight at strawweight since her split decision loss to Rose Namajunas at UFC 251 in July 2020.

Mike Jackson is back fighting again in the UFC as he will welcome Dean Barry to the promotion at UFC Vegas 52. The two were booked to fight in January and in May of 2021, but visa issues on both sides caused the fight to be scrapped. According to Jackson, this is a fight the UFC wanted to make so he wasn’t surprised when they made it for the third time.

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling has discussed his upcoming fight with T.J. Dillashaw. ‘Funk Master’ was last seen in action at UFC 273 earlier this month. Sterling moved to 2-0 in his series against Petr Yan, winning by split decision. Following the bout, UFC president Dana White opined that a fight against T.J. Dillashaw makes sense next.
