Apparently Israel Adesanya claims he doesn’t even know where his UFC belt is right now. The UFC’s undisputed middleweight champion, Adesanya (21-1 MMA), has admitted that he feels no attachment to the very heavy championship belt and he doesn’t even know where it is.

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Thiago Alves is no longer under contract with BKFC as he eyes a return to mixed martial arts. Just a few months ago, Thiago Alves noted that he was interested in defending his BKFC middleweight championship against Mike Perry later this summer – perhaps as early as June. Alas, it doesn’t appear as if that’s going to happen, with an MMA return actually being more likely for Alves now at this stage of his career.

Santiago Ponzinibbio has issued a statement following his defeat to Michel Pereira at the UFC Apex last weekend. In what was easily the fight of the night for Saturday evening’s card, Santiago Ponzinibbio and Michel Pereira went to war in a really fun welterweight clash. Both men had some great moments throughout the course of the three rounds but ultimately, it was Pereira who did just about enough in the eyes of the judges to get a split decision nod.

Holly Holm’s team has questioned the legitimacy of the sport following her controversial loss to Ketlen Vieira. Last Saturday night at the UFC Apex, Holly Holm went head to head with Ketlen Vieira in an attempt to extend her current win streak with the promotion to three. Unfortunately for the veteran, she was unable to do so as she fell to a split decision loss with the judges scoring the contest 47-48, 48-47 and 48-47.

Sterling, the current UFC bantamweight champion, had a rally in his hometown of Uniondale, New York as he rode atop a fire truck and waved to everyone in attendance. It was Logan Storley (14-1 MMA) vs Michael Page (20-2 MMA) in the Bellator 281 headliner on May 13th in London, England. It was Storley who won the fight by split decision, earning him the interim belt and a chance to get in the cage with Yaroslav Amosov in the near future.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has weighed in on the imprisonment of Cain Velasquez. The former lightweight kingpin does not believe Velasquez is a danger to society and does believe he should have been granted bail. Cain has been in prison for months now, the courts not granting him bail following his arrest for allegedly shooting Paul Bender in March of this year. Velasquez was involved in a high speed chase and was targeting Harry Goularte, a suspected child pedophile, when he accidentally shot Paul Bender who was also in the vehicle.
