Belal Muhammad doesn’t believe Kamaru Usman should receive an immediate rematch with Leon Edwards. In the main event of UFC 278, Edwards became the new welterweight champion with a fifth-round head kick KO over Usman. It was a fight he was losing but in the final minute, he landed the head kick beautifully, and right after the scrap, all sides agreed to run it back right away, likely in the UK.

UFC welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev has responded to Alex Pereira. ‘Borz’ has been out of the octagon since a submission win over Kevin Holland in September. However, Chimaev wasn’t originally supposed to face ‘Trail Blazer’ at UFC 279. Originally, he was supposed to face Nate Diaz. However, the fight was scrapped on weigh-in day, as the Chechen badly missed weight.

While he was originally slated to face Khamzat Chimaev in his final bout, ‘Borz’ badly missed weight, causing the promotion to change plans. As a result, Diaz faced Tony Ferguson instead.

Standing opposite the Brazilian was his longtime foe, Israel Adesanya. The pair previously faced off twice in kickboxing, with Pereira winning on both occasions.

Jones and Sonnen have a history together, they coached a season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ and also got in the Octagon in a light heavyweight battle at UFC 159 back in April of 2013. It was Jones (26-1 MMA) who would defeat Sonnen (31-17 MMA) via knockout at 4:33 of the first round.

Former UFC middleweight contender Tim Kennedy recently revealed he underwent a concerning HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) scare after participating in a sex orgy with a ring card girl, whose results returned positive. Kennedy had a successful stint under Strikeforce, going 6-2, with wins over notable names such as Robbie Lawler and losses to Ronaldo Souza and Luke Rockhold. The San Luis Obispo native fought inside the UFC from 2013 – 2016 with a sizeable win over Michael Bisping. Kennedy’s last fight with the promotion went down at UFC 206, where he was finished in the third round by Kelvin Gastelum.

Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is explaining why he would never betray the retirement promise he made to his mother. ‘The Eagle’ (29-0 MMA) last fought in the UFC in October of 2020, defeating Justin Gaethje (23-4 MMA) at UFC 254. Following the victory, after being presented with the belt, Khabib laid his gloves down in the center of the Octagon, a traditional gesture indicating retirement from the sport.

Although he is known for his football skills, the 48-year-old showed he has some power as he dropped a man outside of CVS. TMZ Sports obtained the video.

Javier Mendez, the coach of Islam Makhachev, doesn’t like how highly ranked his pupil is in the pound-for-pound rankings. Makhachev is ranked second in the UFC’s official pound-for-pound rankings following his submission win over Charles Oliveira to win the lightweight title. Yet, before the fight, Makhachev was not even in the pound-for-pound rankings so his coach doesn’t like how quickly, and how high the champ was put on the pound-for-pound list.

Brady Hiestand is disappointed he didn’t finish Fernie Garcia but is pleased with how dominant it was. Hiestand was set to fight Garcia at UFC Vegas 65 in his first fight after having knee surgery and coming off TUF. It was the longest layoff of his career but it didn’t appear to impact him as Hiestand used his wrestling to control the fight.
