Matt Brown thinks Jiri Prochazka should’ve been given more time to recover in his UFC 295 title bout against Alex Pereira. Pereira and Prochazka collided inside Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 11. The bout was contested for the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. In the second round, Pereira dropped Prochazka with a counter hook. “Poatan” followed up with some elbows and referee Marc Goddard had seen enough.
Brendan Allen confident in how rematch with Sean Strickland would go: "I think I was still winning that fight"

Brendan Allen believes he is a better fighter than reigning UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland despite losing to the controversial star three years ago. Back in November 2020, Allen and Strickland shared the Octagon in a 195-pound catchweight bout. Allen was riding a seven-fight winning streak going into the bout, but he had to get back on the horse after being stopped by Strickland via second-round TKO. Since that fight, Allen has gone 8-1, including a recent submission victory over Paul Craig.

Dustin Poirier wouldn’t mind having another go at Conor McGregor. Poirier and McGregor have had three fights against each other under the UFC banner. Their first encounter took place back in September 2014, and it was McGregor who scored the first-round TKO finish. The rematch wasn’t held until January 2021, and the tables were turned. Poirier scored a second-round TKO win.

Former Conor McGregor foe Eddie Alvarez believes the “Notorious” would find success in bare knuckle boxing. McGregor took the MMA world by surprise with his appearance at BKFC 41 in Colorado back in April. McGregor was given a special BKFC belt and walked around the crowd and the cage with his Proper No. 12 Irish Whisky. He even had a cordial staredown with Mike Perry at the end of the night.

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 82 event, a 14-bout fight card headlined by Brendan Allen vs. Paul Craig. The highly anticipated middleweight main event proved to be a coming out party for Brendan Allen. ‘All In’ put together the best performance of his career, dominating his Scottish opponent in all areas of the fight before eventually earning a rear-naked choke finish in round three. The win marked Allen’s sixth in a row and has him primed for a big fight in his next Octagon appearance.

Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III will be running it back. Mayweather and Gotti III boxed in June and the fight was stopped and ruled a No Contest after the two continued to trash talk one another instead of actually boxing. After the two weren’t listening to the ref and continued to go at one another, the fight was stopped, which caused chaos as both teams jumped into the ring and a brawl started.

Allen enters the fight as a sizeable betting favorite, but in the lead-up, both have been oozing with confidence that they will finish one another. At the faceoff, Craig got right into Allen’s face, so the American told him to keep the same energy on fight night and not just be pulling guard which is a move Craig does often.
