On Friday, ONE Championship returned to Bangkok, Thailand, with the stacked ONE: Dreams of Gold card. The card was topped by a ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title bout between champion Petchdam Petchyindee Academy and challenger Ilias Ennahachi, and featured the semifinals of the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix as Giorgio Petrosyan rematched Smokin’ Jo Nattawut and Samy Sana took on Dzhabar Askerov. It also included the sophomore MMA bout of ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Stamp Fairtex, who took on Indian boxing specialist Asha Roka.

Over the years, we’ve seen many top fighters butt heads with the UFC brass. Daniel Cormier is not one of them. In an excellent interview with ESPN, Cormier explained how he’s been able to maintain such a positive working relationship with the UFC. Apparently, it’s not all that hard. Speaking to Submission Radio, UFC welterweight contender and potential McGregor opponent Jorge Masvidal shared his thoughts on the incident. “I thought it was maybe photoshopped cause the dude looked old as fu**, right?” he said.

Many fans were hoping to see Australia’s Alexander Volkanovski get the opportunity to challenge Max Holloway for the UFC featherweight title at UFC 243 this October in Melbourne, Australia. Unfortunately, UFC President Dana White says that won’t be happen. The UFC boss shared this unfortunate news on Submission Radio. He explained that Max Holloway, who just fought at UFC 240 in late July, will be unable to make the featherweight limit in time for the October card in Melbourne.

On Thursday, video surfaced of former two-division UFC champ Conor McGregor allegedly punching an older man at a bar in Ireland. TMZ reported that this incident occurred when the man refused a sample of McGregor’s popular Proper No. Twelve whiskey. Khabib Nurmagomedov, the reigning UFC lightweight champ and McGregor fiercest rival, was not impressed by what he saw in this video.

UFC president Dana White had actually heard about this incident previously, as it happened back in April.
