UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway will put his title on the line at UFC 245 when he takes on challenger Alexander Volkanovski. The Daily Telegraph confirmed the fight between Holloway and Volkanovski for UFC 245, which takes place December 14 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Journalist Nick Walshaw tweeted the news. Journalist John Hyon Ko was the first to report news of the fight back in August, but now it’s confirmed.
Russian female hockey player credits her performance in on-ice brawl to Khabib Nurmagomedov

Russian female hockey player Maria Pugina credited her performance in an on-ice brawl to current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. The 21-year-old Dinamo St. Petersburg defender, Pugina, posted a video of a recent scuffle involving players of the Russian Women’s Hockey League (WHL) to her official Instagram page (via RT.com).

The Octagon heads south of the border tonight for UFC Mexico, a twelve-bout fight card headlined by a featherweight bout between Jeremy Stephens and Yair Rodriguez. Yair Rodriguez was last seen in action in November of 2018, where he scored a last-second knockout victory over Chan Sung Jung. The stunning win improved ‘El Pantera’s’ overall record to 11-2 in mixed martial arts.

Thiago Santos sustained some serious injuries in his July split decision loss to UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Despite his valiant effort, the Brazilian challenger exited the cage with a torn ACL, MCL, PCL and meniscus in his left knee and a partially torn meniscus in his right. Unsurprisingly, these injuries required Santos to go under the knife. Shortly after his fight, he underwent a complicated surgery to repair his badly damaged knees.
