Legendary referee John McCarthy is weighing in on “Inhalergate” following the overturning of Greg Hardy’s unanimous decision win at UFC Boston. At Friday night’s event at the TD Garden, Hardy went the distance for the very first time in his MMA career as he picked up a victory over the debuting Ben Sosoli. As interesting as it was to see Hardy get to a third round, one of the biggest stories of the event came between the second and third rounds when Hardy asked and, seemingly, was given permission to use an inhaler on the stool.

UFC heavyweight contender Walt Harris says he is open to a superfight against his “friend” Jon Jones and to a heavyweight matchup against Francis Ngannou. Harris is one of the hottest heavyweights in the UFC with a four-fight unbeaten streak that including a 12-second TKO win over Aleksei Oleinik in his last fight. He is currently set to headline his first UFC event when he takes on veteran Alistair Overeem in the main event of UFC Washington, D.C. in December.

Regrettably, this first fight ended abruptly with an illegal eye-poke, kickstarting a heated rivalry between the two featherweight contenders. The pair met again in the co-main event of UFC Boston last weekend, with plenty of animosity between them. In the end, Rodriguez won this fight by decision, though Stephens certainly didn’t make it easy for him.

Woodley was not happy that Gastelum called him out for a rematch, and “The Chosen One” ripped into him on TMZ.

UFC lightweight veteran Joe Lauzon told UFC president Dana White that he would retire win, lose, or draw following UFC Boston. But now he’s having second thoughts about it. Joe Lauzon pulled off a stunning upset when he defeated Jonathan Pearce via first-round TKO in just 1:33. The win snapped Lauzon’s three-fight losing streak and it was his first win in the Octagon since 2017.

The main event of BKFC 8 didn’t last long as former UFC heavyweight contender Gabriel Gonzaga knocked out fellow MMA veteran Antonio Silva. Gonzaga and Silva were scheduled for five rounds of action, but Gonzaga needed just two rounds to finish Silva. The win was Gonzaga’s first in BKFC. Although he’s 40-years-old, the Brazilian MMA legend still possesses a ton of knockout power and showed that against Silva in this fight. It was Gonzaga’s first victory in bare-knuckle fighting.
