Following Maia’s first-round TKO loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC Brasilia he said he had one fight left and it would be against either Diego Sanchez or Donald Cerrone. Yet, he has now had a change of heart and says he will keep on fighting and is also interested in rematching Anderson Silva.

The full card has been announced for the UFC Fight Night card on May 30 that will be headlined by welterweights Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns. With the card just eight days away, the UFC has released the full 11-fight card for the event, which is tentatively scheduled to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas next Saturday. UFC president Dana White has said he will take his promotion to Arizona to hold his shows there in the event that the state of Nevada doesn’t allow the card to take place.

VanZant will take on Ribas at UFC 251, which is rumored to take place on Fight Island on July 11. The fight will take place at 125lbs. These two were previously scheduled to fight at UFC Brasilia before the fight was scratched to a VanZant injury. Now that she’s healthy again, the UFC matchmakers have decided to re-book the fight after Ribas publicly called VanZant out after beating her replacement opponent Randa Markos in Brazil.

Ever since, there’s been a desire to see them settle their score. Cormier has also made it clear that the trilogy fight will be the last fight of his career.

Barboza has had a few close calls in recent fights such as his UFC 242 split decision loss to Paul Felder. In his last bout, the 34-year old appeared on the UFC on ESPN 8, making his featherweight debut against Dan Ige. Barboza came up short and lost again by split decision. His team filed an appeal, but that appeal was quickly shut down.

Ever since Ngannou knocked out Jairzinho Rozenstruik in 20 seconds at UFC 249, Jon Jones has talked about fighting him. Many thought it was fake, yet “Bones” tweeted Thursday that he was in negotiations with the UFC for the fight. Shortly after though, he said he would be walking away from the sport as the Las Vegas-based promotion wouldn’t give him what he wanted.
