Hasbulla Magomedov has reportedly signed a 5-year contract with the UFC according to MMA reporter Igor Lazorin. Hasbulla, also known as ‘mini Khabib’, was in attendance for last October’s UFC 267 event in Abu Dhabi and made quite the impression.

UFC President Dana White has a message for those who think the UFC went full-on WWE this weekend. UFC 279 had quite the last-minute switcheroo. Khamzat Chimaev vs. Nate Diaz, Tony Ferguson vs. Li Jingliang, and Kevin Holland vs. Daniel Rodriguez were all planned for the event. Chimaev ended up missing weight and as a result, Diaz was booked to fight Ferguson, Chimaev took on Holland, and Jingliang fought Rodriguez.

Dana White shared his thoughts on Nate Diaz’s submission win over Tony Ferguson during tonight’s UFC 279 post-fight press conference. Diaz (21-13 MMA), a former lightweight title challenger and TUF 5 winner, was fighting out the final bout of his existing UFC contract this evening. ‘The Stockton Slugger’ was originally slated to face Khamzat Chimaev (11-0 MMA) in tonight’s event headliner. However, after ‘Borz’ badly missed the welterweight limit of 171lbs, the promotion decided to switch things up and have ‘The Stockton Slugger’ take on ‘El Cucuy’ instead.

White then took the podium and announced it was a ‘shit show’ backstage and instead of doing the press conference at once, the fighters would be brought out in pairs.
