Former PFL tournament winner Kayla Harrison doesn’t want to jinx it, but she might fight Cris Cyborg. The Olympic judoka is set to return to the PFL Smart Cage this Friday night against Aspen Ladd. Originally slated to face Julia Budd, the fight will be Kayla Harrison’s first in over a year. Famously, she suffered the first loss of her career last time out, suffering a decision defeat to Larissa Pacheco last Fall.

Bellator women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg will be returning to the boxing ring to face Kelsey Wickstrum. The Brazilian has been out of action since a title defense against Cat Zingano at Bellator 300. That night in October saw Cris Cyborg dominate, and claim a first-round knockout win. Following the victory, the featherweight champion discussed a return to the boxing ring, where she’s been competing since last year.

Abdelaziz’s top PFL fighter, Kayla Harrison (15-1 MMA), will return to the cage to take on Julia Budd (17-6 MMA) at the 2023 PFL World Championship on November 24th of this year in Washington, D.C.  Harrison has not fought since her loss at the final PFL 2022 event against Larissa Pacheco (22-4 MMA) last November and was not included in this year’s featherweight season.

Cris Cyborg has reacted to the retirement of former UFC rival Amanda Nunes. ‘The Lioness’ returned to the octagon over the weekend at UFC 289 opposite Irene Aldana. ‘Robles’ took the fight on short notice, as Amanda Nunes was originally slated to fight Julianna Pena in a trilogy bout. In the main event of UFC 289, the Brazilian dominated en route to a lopsided decision victory.

Many wondered if she would make the move to PFL in order to fight Kayla Harrison. Ultimately, Cyborg decided to stick around with Bellator.

In their first two outings, Harrison dominated the Brazilian, not even losing a round. However, in a massive upset last year, Pacheco scored a unanimous decision victory. In the process, she handed Harrison the first defeat of her MMA career.
