Colby Covington has made it clear he doesn’t want UFC president, Dana White wrapping the belt around his waist at UFC 245 if he proves victorious against Kamaru Usman. In the main event of the year-end pay-per-view, Covington is taking on the welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman. The two have traded shots at one another in interviews and do not like each other one bit. Yet, instead of ‘Chaos’ trash-talking his opponent, he issued a threat to Dana White.

Colby Covington and Ali Abdelaziz have a storied past. The two got into it with each other at a buffet in Las Vegas, and have since traded jabs at each other in interviews. Now, however, after Abdelaziz’s latest incident at a PFL event where he punched Abe Kawa, ‘Chaos’ is taking it to another level. He questions why the manager has yet to be deported and plans on talking to President, Donald Trump about it. He also says there is a pending sexual assault charge against the Dominance MMA CEO that no one knows about.

Colby Covington has chimed in on Twitter in response to the NBA-China saga. The 31-year old took aim at Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James for his recent comments on the situation. In a deleted tweet, manager of the Houston Rockets, Daryl Morey, said he supported pro-democracy protests in China. As China is a communist country, Morey’s comments spawned a ton of backlash and he ultimately was forced to issue an apology.

The reason why the former strawweight champion wants that to happen is because of how Colby Covington has treated his teammates in Jorge Masvidal and Dustin Poirier.

Colby Covington has gotten some heat from fellow American Top Team (ATT) fighters as of late. ‘Chaos’ has taken shots at both Jorge Masvidal and Dustin Poirier with both firing right back at the former UFC interim welterweight champion. It got to the point that Covington admitted a brawl may take place at ATT and he could very well have to leave the gym.

UFC 244 was originally expected to be headlined by a welterweight title fight between reigning champion Kamaru Usman and top contender Colby Covington. Unfortunately, negotiations for this fight ultimately hit a snag, and the fight was never made official. Welterweight contender Ben Askren believes that’s because both Usman and Covington made the same mistake: the both assumed they have more popularity — and therefor more bargaining power — than they actually do. Askren shared this opinion, which will surely generate some backlash from Usman and Covington, on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday.

Jorge Masvidal says after that UFC 225 title fight, “Chaos” never paid one of his coaches that helped prepare Covington for the fight.

Colby Covington’s list of allies at American Top Team is getting shorter and shorter. After alienating many of the gym’s Brazilian fighters with his previous comments, he’s now at odds with two of the gym’s top fighters in Jorge Masvidal and Dustin Poirier. Speaking on the latest episode of BJPENN.com Radio, Covington admitted that things have gotten quite tense at American Top Team, and added that the gym’s owner Dan Lambert — also his manager — has become quite exasperated with the state of things.

Covington was expected to face Usman at UFC 244 in November at Madison Square Garden following his dominate performance against Robbie Lawler.
