Reports surfaced on Monday that Lesnar is currently a free agent after his contract with WWE expired. Rumors have already popped up that Lesnar could make a return to MMA, where he starred as the UFC heavyweight champion from 2008 to 2010. If Lesnar does return to MMA, he could potentially fight again in the UFC or possibly in Bellator, whose president Scott Coker has already admitted he’s interested in bringing Lesnar aboard.

According to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, Lesnar and Riddle passed each other in the hall and a “tense encounter” occurred. A source said that Lesnar saw Riddle and wanted to know the reality of the situation between them.

He proceeded to hunt down Lesnar and unload some punches before Brock was eventually able to break free and escape. The pair gave each other the death glare as Lesnar edged closer to the ring again. The narrative implied that this was the first time Lesnar had run away and the first time he was scared.

Valentina Shevchenko successfully defended her flyweight title at UFC Uruguay when she went five rounds against Liz Carmouche. She beat Carmouche to a unanimous decision victory, avenging her loss from their first fight in 2010. After the fight, Cejudo took the limelight back by challenging Shevchenko to the first inter-gender fight.

After a year of speculation that his return was happening, former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar decided not to return to the UFC and opted to re-sign with WWE instead. Following Lesnar’s decision, the UFC booked a heavyweight title rematch between champion Daniel Cormier and former champion Stipe Miocic, who waited out the rumors of Lesnar’s return, and got the rematch he had been calling for. While there were reports that Lesnar and the UFC could not come to an agreement because of their new ESPN deal, UFC President Dana White shut those rumors down immediately. Now that the dust has settled with the heavyweight title fight, White gave his thoughts on the former champion sticking with WWE. Speaking on ESPN MMA’s Instagram ahead of the 2019 Contender Series season premiere, White was asked about Brock Lesnar’s decision and he said he believes Lesnar made the right decision.
