Tyron Woodley finds it a bit disrespectful he’s not in the conversation for Jake Paul’s PFL debut. ‘The Problem Child’ is fresh off his return to the ring over the weekend. On Friday night, Jake Paul moved to 8-1, with a knockout win over Andre August. Following the victory, there was naturally talk of his PFL debut. Ever since the beginning of his boxing career, he’s teased a move to the cage.

Jake Paul and Andre August topped tonight’s DAZN Boxing event, which took place at Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Fla., in front of a sold-out crowd of 20,000. Paul (8-1-0) has had a stellar start to his boxing career despite mostly facing retired MMA fighters and former champions. His most recent win came in August against Nate Diaz, securing the victory via decision.

The 10-1-1 pro boxer is a big underdog for the contest, but one has to figure that names such as Dana White will be cheering him on.

Earlier this year, Showtime announced their decision to drop combat sports from their network. While not a big shock to Bellator MMA, fans of boxing were caught quite off-guard. Derek Brunson is turning his attention to Jake Paul following his UFC release. Brunson (23-9 MMA), parted ways with the UFC following an 11 year run with the promotion. During that tenure, the 39 year old beat the likes of Kevin Holland, Darren Till, and Uriah Hall to name a few. It was Brunson’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, of Dominance MMA, who confirmed the news just yesterday, September 14th.
