Chad Mendes decided to end his combat sports career after suffering a split decision loss to Eddie Alvarez at BKFC 41. Mendes (1-1 BKFC, 18-5 MMA) and Alvarez (30-8 and two No Contests MMA, 1-0 BKFC) collided in the co-headliner of Saturday’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event in Denver, Colorado.

BKFC president David Feldman was all smiles following BKFC 41 thanks to Conor McGregor’s appearance. In the second round, Rockhold felt something was off and he brought the state of his jaw to referee Dan Miragliotta’s attention. The fight was waved off and Perry’s bare knuckle boxing record improved to 3-0. This is Perry’s first stoppage win in bare knuckle boxing.

The Philadelphia native later asked for and was granted his release from ONE Championship. Eddie’s most recent win had come back in 2019, when he defeated Eduard Folayang by first-round submission.
