In the main event of UFC Vegas 77, Mayra Bueno Silva was taking on Holly Holm in a battle of ranked women’s bantamweights. Silva entered the fight riding a three-fight win streak and was a perfect 3-0 in the UFC since moving up to bantamweight. The Brazilian had won her last two fights by submission and was coming off a victory over Lina Lansberg.

Kevin Lee has no regrets from his UFC career but does wish a specific fight had gone his way. Lee fought 19 times in the UFC going 11-8 and even fought for the interim lightweight title. However, Lee lost that fight by submission to Tony Ferguson. Although Kevin Lee lost two fights to Al Iaquinta who was his rival, he wishes the Ferguson fight played out much differently.

Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has given his side of his face-off with Dricus du Plessis. ‘The Last Stylebender’ was last seen at UFC 290 earlier this month. The middleweight champion was in attendance to support his friend and teammate, Alexander Volkanovski, who was in the main event. While ‘The Great’ scored a stoppage win over Yair Rodriguez, Israel Adesanya was also there for another reason.

Geoff Neal’s head coach Sayif Saud has taken aim at Ian Machado Garry over the t-shirt he was seen wearing at UFC 290. Garry and Neal are set to fight on August 19 at UFC 292 and at UFC 290, Garry was seen wearing a t-shirt with Neal’s mugshot on it. The t-shirt immediately got fans talking and to no surprise, Saud and Neal both saw it and the Fortis MMA head coach doesn’t think it was very smart of Garry to wear it.

Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Rampage Jackson doesn’t care much about the Hall of Fame. The former champion has been out of action since a December 2019 clash with Fedor Emelianenko. ‘The Last Emperor’ wound up scoring a knockout win over Rampage Jackson that night, finishing him in the first. That fight was the last bout on the latter’s contract, and he became a free agent after the Bellator 237 defeat.

Francis Ngannou has detailed the rematch clause for his upcoming boxing match against Tyson Fury. Ngannou and Fury are set to box on October 28 in a professional bout – although the heavyweight title is not on the line. However, it will be a highly-anticipated matchup as it serves as Ngannou’s boxing debut and his first fight since leaving the UFC.

Fresh off a second-round TKO finish over former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker, du Plessis is riding high. He defeated Whittaker at UFC 290 on July 8. The win for du Plessis sets the stage for a 185-pound title fight against the champion Israel Adesanya. Both men have bad blood and engaged in a heated staredown after du Plessis’ victory.
