UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has hit out at Conor McGregor following the latter’s recent loss in court. This week, Conor McGregor was found liable for sexual assault in a case relating to an incident back in 2018. The incident in question took place two months following Conor’s defeat at the hands of Khabib Nurmagomedov who defeated him to retain his UFC lightweight championship. Now, that same belt is held by his close friend Islam Makhachev.

The Octagon returned to China for today’s UFC Macau event and four fighters walked away with $50k performance bonuses. The thirteen-bout fight card was headlined by a highly anticipated men’s bantamweight contest between Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo. The fight proved to be a solid scrap. Although Petr Yan was able to outland Deiveson Figueiredo for the majority of the fight, the former flyweight champion still had some moments, including dropping ‘No Mercy’ in the fourth round. However, Yan’s striking and grappling was on point tonight and after twenty-five minutes it was clear he had done more than enough to earn a unanimous decision victory.

Israel Adesanya was last seen in the cage at UFC 305 in August, facing middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis. The bout was the former champion’s first, since suffering a shocking decision loss to Sean Strickland last August. In Adesanya’s absence, ‘Stillknocks’ won the gold.
