UFC president Dana White claims the world’s leading MMA promotion will “soon” introduce full-time health benefits to their fighters. White replied to a fan on Instagram who asked him if the UFC would consider having a full-time health benefits package for its fighters so they can deal with issues once their fighting careers are over. For the first time in over a decade, White revealed that the UFC is working on such a benefits package for its athlete (via MMAjunkie.com).

Former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre is insanely shredded after cutting out the processed food from his diet. St-Pierre is retired from MMA but he has stayed in incredible shape. Having just turned 40 years old, it really seems like GSP is in the best shape of his life right now, which is incredible to consider since he was one of the poster boys for fit MMA fighters for years. Taking to his social media this week, GSP posted a photo of himself after cutting out the processed food from his diet. You can see the difference as “Rush” looks completely ripped.

Eddie Alvarez ripped pro boxers for calling out MMA fighters, saying “We really fight! Take your gloves and shoes and shove them up your ass!” Alvarez is the former UFC lightweight champion, the former Bellator lightweight champion, and one of the most respected and well-traveled MMA fighters of all time. Although Alvarez is known for his boxing skills inside the cage, he hasn’t been one of the MMA fighters who has tried to make the move to boxing like so many others have. And based on his social media post, it doesn’t seem like Alvarez has any interest in boxing anytime soon, either.

After retiring from mixed martial arts last year, Khabib left the door open for one of many top lightweights to rise up and claim the belt. California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Foster says MMA judging at the UFC level “is better now than it ever has been.” Foster is a former professional MMA fighter who has been in charge of the California State Athletic Commission since 2012. One of the biggest problems in MMA right now is the state of judging. It feels like every week we see a bad decision that impacts a fighters’ career, and for many fans, fighters, and media, it feels like we aren’t making any progress when it comes to scoring fights correctly. It’s led to many observers of the sports suggesting different ways to improve the way we judge fights in mixed martial arts.

UFC superstar Nate Diaz flaunted his physique ahead of his upcoming UFC 263 welterweight bout with Leon Edwards next Saturday night. Diaz returns to the Octagon for the first time since UFC 244 in November 2019 when he takes on Edwards in a five-round, non-title fight at UFC 263. The event takes place on June 13 in Phoenix, Arizona. Ahead of his return to the cage, Diaz posted a photo on his social media of his physique, and he looks to be in absolutely phenomenal shape for the fight.

On Monday evening, it was reported by The Athletic that Paul and Woodley have agreed to face one another at a date TBD. Jake Paul has his next boxing fight booked and he will face a former UFC champion in Tyron Woodley. After Paul knocked out Ben Askren in April, several MMA fighters and celebrities had called out the brash YouTuber. Woodley was among those calling for the fight and now according to The Athletic’s Mike Coppinger the fight is agreed to for a date not yet known.

UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo is confident he will finish Brandon Moreno at UFC 263, saying “I’m going to knock this guy out.” Figueiredo and Moreno meet in a rematch at next weekend’s UFC 263 with 125lbs gold on the line. The two rivals previously met at UFC 256 in December, with the pair fighting to a majority draw after a low blow cost Figueiredo one point on the judges’ scorecards. The hope is that the two will now be able to settle their differences at UFC 263 and the winner of the fight will prove beyond a doubt they are the best active flyweight on the UFC roster.
