Sean O’Malley has taken a shot at Marlon Vera for requesting to be a main event. After it was reported that Rafael dos Anjos that Rafael Fiziev was off UFC Vegas 48 next Saturday, Vera made it clear he would take a main event fight on a weeks’ notice. However, the promotion decided to bump Johnny Walker vs. Jamahal Hill to the main event but even with that, “Suga” took a shot at Vera.

Joe Rogan will not be commentating at UFC 271. Rogan was set to be on the call with Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier. However, according to TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, who confirmed the news with a UFC official, Rogan will not be part of Saturday’s broadcast due to a scheduling conflict.

However, the pair were removed from the card earlier today. MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani broke the news that the fight was being moved to next month.

Israel Adesanya (21-1 MMA) vs. Robert Whittaker (24-5 MMA) is featured at the UFC 271 main event and is perhaps one of the most anticipated rematches in recent memory. Whittaker, will try to take back the belt Adesanya won from him in October 2019 at UFC 243 in Melbourne, Australia. Whittaker lost by KO in the 2nd round at UFC 243 and seeks to change history this weekend by defeating ‘The Last Stylebender‘.

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling has reacted to news that Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva failed a drugs test in December. Valieva, 15, helped the ROC to glory in the team event at the Winter Olympics earlier this week. However, while the Russian Olympic Committee may have been celebrating, the medals were not formally awarded as a result of a legal issue – which has now been confirmed to be the aforementioned drug test failure.
