UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov says that No. 1 contender Tony Ferguson is 95 percent going to be his next opponent inside the Octagon. Nurmagomedov spoke to reporters in a press conference on Friday in Moscow a day ahead of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night event featuring Zabit Magomedsharipov and Calvin Kattar in the main event. He was asked who his next opponent will be and where the fight will take place. Below is what Nurmagomedov told the media.

Jorge Masvidal may very well be Nate Diaz’s final opponent in MMA. After Masvidal beat Diaz by doctor stoppage in the main event of UFC 244, Diaz was not happy with it. He wanted a rematch, yet Dana White was not interested so the Stockton, California-native instead said goodbye to the fight game.

Kelvin Gastelum made weight for his UFC 244 fight with Darren Till, but not without controversy. As the middleweight contender stepped onto the scale behind a towel — an indicator of a tough weight cut — he appeared to lean his elbow on his coach Rafael Cordeiro, effectively displacing some of his mass from the scale.
Khabib Nurmagomedov says Conor McGregor needs 10 more wins before a rematch

UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov says that rival Conor McGregor needs to win 10 more fights before he gives him a rematch. Speaking with reporters during a press conference in Moscow Friday ahead of the UFC Fight Night event there this Saturday, Nurmagomedov revealed that he is planning on returning to the Octagon in April. He wants to fight in Las Vegas, but will only do so if the Nevada State Athletic Commission apologizes to him for what happened at UFC 229. Otherwise, he expects to fight in New York.
Michael Bisping has 'zero respect' for Nate Diaz teasing retirement

Michael Bisping isn’t a fan of how Nate Diaz has handled his UFC 244 defeat. Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal ended in anti-climatic fashion for some. The two headlined UFC 244 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City. Before the fourth round could begin, the Octagon-side doctor determined that the cuts on Diaz’s eyebrow and below his right eye were too severe for him to continue.

Johnny Walker says he was not in the right place mentally or emotionally for his UFC 244 fight against Corey Anderson. In the fight, the Brazilian suffered his first defeat inside the Octagon, losing by first-round TKO. While he is reluctant to make excuses or take anything away from Anderson, he feels he was not in the right headspace ahead of the fight.

Calvin Kattar is travelling across the pond to fight on the home turf of his opponent, Zabit Magomedsharipov at UFC Moscow. The featherweights will be headlining the event this Saturday, November 9 inside the CSKA Arena in the Russian capital. Kattar was scheduled to fight his Russian opponent last month in his hometown at UFC Boston. However, the fight was pulled from the card as Magomedsharipov suffered from a blood infection. Now, Kattar is having to acclimatize to Russian conditions and overcome adversity in the form of Magomedsharipov’s loyal fan base.

Robert Whittaker is ready to get back on the horse after losing the UFC middleweight title to Israel Adesanya at UFC 243 and would like to do so against the division’s newest contender in Darren Till. “The Reaper” had his nine-fight winning streak snapped by Adesanya last month and has his sights set on a return to the Octagon in early 2020. With talks of the UFC returning to London in March, Whittaker can see no better opportunity to travel to the area for the first time.

UFC middleweight contender Darren Till apparently regrets calling out Yoel Romero, posting a hilarious Instagram photo of him walking back the callout. On Thursday, Till posted a photo of Romero on his social media, challenging him to a fight. Fans and media quickly picked up on it and everyone was pretty excited about the possibility of two of the middleweight division’s best going at it.
Joe Rogan: Fans 'booed the f**k out of' Donald Trump at UFC 244

US President Donald Trump was in the building for last weekend’s UFC 244 card in New York City, as was UFC commentator Joe Rogan. Trump’s attendance of the card generated mixed stories. Some accounts said he was booed, others said he was applauded, while others still reported a mix of boos and cheers. According to Rogan, however, the President was absolutely booed inside Madison Square Garden.

Earlier this year, reports surfaced that a single mother in Liverpool, England was claiming that former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor was the father of her young daughter Clodagh. McGregor recently took a DNA test that revealed he is not the father of the child in question, walloping rumors to the contrary.

The highly anticipated event was initially being built around the Alexander Volkov vs Junior dos Santos heavyweight showdown which would’ve taken place in the main event. However, after dos Santos pulled out of the fight due to injury, controversial former NFL star Greg Hardy stepped up and will now take on Volkov in the co-main event of the evening.

Darren Till has called out Yoel Romero for a fight. Till is coming off of a decision win over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244 in his middleweight debut. The win put him into the top-10 at 185-pounds and he could now be just one fight away from a title shot. He is looking for that fight to be against Yoel Romero.
Corey Anderson won't fight Anthony Smith

UFC light heavyweight contender Corey Anderson says he has no interest in a fight against fellow 205lbs contender Anthony Smith. Speaking to SiriusXM’s Fight Nation, Anderson said he won’t fight Smith next. “Lionheart” called out “Overtime” on social media after Anderson knocked out Johnny Walker at UFC 244, but it appears as though Anderson is not interested in fighting Smith at this time.
